We hear the weight of your burden as a single father carrying the responsibility for your children while being months behind on your mortgage and facing maxed out cards, and we join with you in seeking the Lord for His provision and open doors. We admire your faith in waiting on the Lord and humbly bringing your family before Jesus, for He sees your diligence and your love for your children and He cares deeply for you.

We are reminded of the promise in Philippians 4:19 that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and in Matthew 6:33 where we are told to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. The Lord has not forgotten you, as it is written in Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread, and in Hebrews 13:5 He himself has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. He is your refuge and strength in this time of need as Psalm 46:1 declares, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

While we wait on the Lord we are also called to act with diligence and wisdom. We encourage you to continue to seek work diligently, for Proverbs 12:11 says he who tills his land shall have plenty of bread, and in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 we are reminded that if anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat, which speaks to the honor of providing through labor. We encourage you to reach out quickly to your mortgage servicer to discuss forbearance or modification options, to seek wise counsel from your local church family and elders who may be able to help with practical needs or connect you with resources, to create a simple budget that prioritizes your home and essential needs and to avoid taking on further debt, for Proverbs 21:5 says the plans of the diligent surely lead to profit. If you lack wisdom for next steps, James 1:5 promises if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

We lift you and your children up together now in prayer.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and lift up this father and his children to You. Lord, You know the months of mortgage burden, the pressure of debt, and the anxiety of providing as a single father. We ask for Your mercy and Your help in this time of need. Open the door for stable and dignified work for him, work that uses the gifts You have given him and provides for his household, for You give power to get wealth as Deuteronomy 8:18 teaches. Provide for his daily needs, protect his home from loss, and grant him favor with lenders and creditors. Give him wisdom to steward what little he has well, peace to lead his children without fear, and strength to not grow weary in doing good. Guard the hearts of his children, let them see Your faithfulness in this trial, and draw this whole family closer to You. We ask that You supply all their needs and that they would seek You first above all, trusting that You will add what is needed. We pray this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, our only access to the Father, through whom we have hope and provision, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to keep knocking and asking as Matthew 7:7 teaches, Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you, and to let your church family know of your need so they can bear this burden with you. Trust that God is working even in the waiting, and He will make a way as you walk faithfully and diligently before Him.

Thank you for letting us know what you and your children are carrying. Being months behind on the mortgage with cards maxed and no job yet would weigh heavily on anyone, and even more as a single father trying to hold everything steady for your kids while you wait on the Lord.

We hear your faith in seeking Him through this, and also how long the waiting can feel when bills do not wait. When work is uncertain it is easy to feel your worth is measured only by what you can provide, but your value to your family and to God is not defined by a paycheck. You are showing love and faithfulness just by continuing to seek help and care for your children in a hard season.

If it would help, one steady next step is to get a trusted person to look at the immediate pressure points with you. Many churches and community agencies offer free financial counseling for budgeting and debt, and nonprofit housing counselors can sit down with you to talk through options with your mortgage servicer. A local workforce center or church employment ministry can also be a practical partner for the job search, alongside prayer, so you do not have to sort all the paperwork and decisions alone.

We are praying for you now.

Father, we lift this dad and his children to You in Jesus' name. You see their needs, the mortgage, the bills, and the desire for work. Give them wisdom for each call and decision, provide for their daily needs, and guard them with Your peace as they wait on You. Open the right door in Your timing and keep this family close to You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your cry and we have carried it before the Lord with heaviness and hope. To be months behind on the mortgage, to see the cards near their limit, and to bear the care of your children alone is a sore trial, and you have done well to seek the Lord and to ask His people to seek Him with you.

Be encouraged that you do not come to a hard master or a distant judge, but to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. When the Father is viewed aright He becomes the object of our gratitude and not of our dread, for the Father Himself loves you. Our Lord has said, He that has seen Me has seen the Father, and we are taught to say, Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us. You are not forgotten. Though you feel as one without help, the Lord has revealed Himself as the Orphan's Father, and He has promised, I will be a Father unto you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. What you need this day and what you shall need in the unknown future, your heavenly Father knows, and you may leave it all with Him who is a better Father than the best of earthly fathers could ever be.

We have lifted you and your dear children up to Jesus, who is our Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous. We have asked the Father in His name to show you His fatherly care in this time of need, to open a door for honest work whereby you may provide for your household, to give you wisdom in all stewardship, to keep you from the snare of anxious serving of Mammon, and to supply your daily bread according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We have prayed that He would guard your home, give peace to your children, and sustain your faith while you wait upon Him, for they that wait upon the Lord shall not be ashamed.

Abba, Father, there is heaven in that word, for there is all your necessity can demand and all your wishes can contrive. Continue to seek Him, to cast your burden upon Him, and to walk in diligent faith. Be watchful to do what your hands find to do with singleness of eye, ask counsel of faithful brethren in the church who may know of labor or help near at hand, and let your requests be made known unto God with thanksgiving. He who clothes the lily and feeds the sparrow knows your mortgage, your debts, and the mouths you feed, and He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way, even so, Father, for so it seems good in His sight.

May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every good and perfect gift comes, keep you and your children in His peace, strengthen your hands for the work before you, and show you day by day that you have fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. We will continue to remember you before the throne.

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
