Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly about the heavy burden you are carrying. Feeling that your salary is gone before you can even provide for your family, and feeling trapped in a cycle of borrowing, is a very painful and fearful place to be. Please know you are being prayed for, and God sees your struggle and cares for you and your family deeply.
The Bible teaches that true freedom in Jesus Christ is not just freedom to do whatever we want, but freedom not to be controlled by anything that would harm us. Scripture says that while many things may be allowed, we should not let anything have power over us. When we use our freedom in a way that puts us under the control of something else, we lose that freedom and come into bondage. Debt does exactly that. The Word says the borrower becomes servant to the lender, and that is the trap you are feeling right now. It is not freedom, it is bondage, and it is wise to guard the freedom Christ has given you and not to exercise choices that bring you back under that kind of power.
God does not want you to remain in that bondage. He wants to set you free and to give you wisdom to walk in a new way. That freedom is found first in knowing Jesus Christ as Savior, and then in learning to live by His wisdom day by day. He promises to supply what we need and to give wisdom generously when we ask Him. Part of that wisdom is learning faithful stewardship, living within what God provides, being content, owing no one anything except love, and making careful, honest plans for the future.
I am praying for you now for a real and lasting breakthrough. I pray that God will provide for your family's needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus, that He will protect you and your family from harm and from pressure or threats, and that He will open a righteous way out of this cycle of debt. I pray He will give you clear wisdom to manage what He has placed in your hands, strength to make difficult but honest decisions, and help from trustworthy, godly counsel around you who can walk with you practically in budgeting and planning. I also pray He will give you peace as you trust Him, and that He will establish you on a firm foundation where you are no longer controlled by debt, but free to serve Him and care for your family with joy.
You are not forgotten. Keep seeking the Lord, be honest before Him, take one faithful step at a time as He guides you, and trust that He who has begun a good work in you will be faithful to lead you into freedom. May the Lord show you His way forward very clearly and give you strength to walk in it.
