Thank you for sharing your honest burden about finances for you and your family. Your desire for God to provide is heard, and it is right to bring these needs to Him.
Before all else I want to remind you of the greatest provision God has already made. There is only one provision for the forgiveness of sin and the removal of guilt, and that is through His only Son, Jesus Christ. The Spirit bears witness to our hearts that this is true. If we have received that provision, we have the greatest miracle of all, which is being freed from the power of sin and being brought into the kingdom of light. Jesus always puts first things first, and when that first need is met, every other need is seen in its proper place.
God certainly cares about your daily needs and He is able to provide. Scripture shows how He provided a simple room with a bed, a table, a stool and a lamp for His prophet when he traveled, and how a small amount of bread and grain was multiplied so that a hundred men ate and there was still food left over. The same kind of provision that was seen in the days of Elijah was seen again in the days of Elisha. God leaves Himself room to work. We should not put Him in a box and say He can only work in one way, or that He must work on our schedule. He is not limited to a special night or a special season as if miracles could be advertised for a set time. He works when and how He chooses, according to His wisdom.
The Bible also shows that even those who love God can know poverty and trial. Jesus Himself was born into a poor family, in a borrowed stable, and when He needed a coin for an illustration He had to borrow one. The believers in Macedonia went through severe trials and financial struggles, yet out of the abundance of their joy, though they were poor, they gave generously to help others. Their joy was not dependent on having plenty, but on knowing Christ.
So I pray for you not only for provision, but for that deeper joy and trust while you wait. I pray that God, according to His perfect will, will supply what you and your family truly need for daily life, and that He will give you wisdom in stewardship, contentment, and peace. I pray that you will keep seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He knows your needs, and that you will experience His faithfulness day by day. May He guard you from discouragement and from chasing after promises that treat miracles as something we can demand, and instead draw you closer to Jesus, in whom every true need is met.
May the Lord meet you and your family with His grace, provide for you as He sees best, and above all keep you rooted in the forgiveness and new life that comes only through Christ. In Jesus name, Amen.
