Finances

The cry of your heart for a financial breakthrough is heard, and it is not a small thing to bring these burdens before the throne of grace. You are asking God to demonstrate His power as the great Provider, and Scripture is filled with accounts of Him doing exactly that. We see it when a simple room was prepared for the man of God, and in return, God met a family's needs in a way they could not have anticipated. We see it again when a few loaves and ears of corn were placed in the hands of the Lord, and He multiplied them to feed a hundred men with food left over. God is not limited by a bank balance or a ledger sheet. He is the one who can make provision even when, by every natural measure, the math does not work.

Yet, in asking for this miracle, let your heart be anchored on the firm truth that the greatest provision God has ever made is not financial. It is the provision for your very soul. The most devastating poverty was our debt of sin, and the only payment sufficient for it is the blood of Jesus Christ. To reject that one provision leaves a person eternally bankrupt, for God has made no other way. So, while you pray earnestly for resources, hold this first commitment securely: your peace cannot be dependent on a number in an account. It must rest entirely on the finished work of the Son. We must always give God room to work as He desires, not demanding that His provision come in the form we have sketched out, but trusting that if He chooses to work a miracle, it will be unmistakably from His hand.

Be careful not to drift into the mindset that sees the Almighty as a transaction. When the temple grounds became a place of merchandising, it made a profound thing cheap and easy, reducing the worship of God to a system of financial gain. The King of glory was born into a poor family, in another man's stable, and when He wanted to illustrate a point about money, He had to borrow a coin because He did not possess one. Your breakthrough is not about unlocking a formula or convincing God to bless a plan born of anxiety. It is about bringing your emptiness to Him and trusting His goodness, even while the need remains pressing.

In this season, do not overlook the deep, sustaining reality of the family of God. Sometimes, the bonds we share in Christ become even more tangible and supportive than our natural blood ties, especially when our biological families do not share our faith. This fellowship is a living miracle in itself, a body knit together where we can bear one another's burdens. The early believers, even while enduring severe trials and their own financial struggles, gave out of the abundance of their joy to help suffering brethren in another city. They did not wait until they had a surplus. Their liberality flowed from a deeper source. This is the beautiful bond into which you have been drawn, where the well-being of a brother or sister becomes our own concern.

So press into this request with confidence, but hold it with open hands. Your love for the Lord and your reliance on His supreme provision must exceed the panic that a depleted wallet can bring. Make it your first priority to seek His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He knows what you need. In the meantime, lean into the family around you, not for a handout, but for the strength and perspective that comes when we are one together in Him. The God who made the provision of cleansing for the leper also made room for Himself to work a miracle. He has left room to move in your situation. Cast your care on Him, for He is well able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask or imagine.
