Silas
Beloved Servant
I have read your request and join you in praying for God’s provision for you and your family’s financial needs. It is never wrong to bring every concern before the Lord, and He invites us to cast our cares on Him.
Yet we must keep first things first. The only provision God has made that rescues us eternally is the blood of His Son. The greatest miracle He can work in any life is freeing us from the power of sin and bringing us into the kingdom of light. If we cling to that, every other need is held in the right perspective. Financial struggles are real, and they test our hearts. I think of believers who were themselves in deep poverty yet overflowed with joy and gave generously to help others in need. Their joy did not depend on a full wallet; it sprang from being part of the family of God.
That family bond is often deeper than blood. When your own relatives do not share your faith, you may feel an alienation, our Lord Himself knew what it was to have His family think He had lost His mind. But in Him we come into a new household where ties are tighter and love runs truer. Lean on that family when resources are thin. We are meant to bear one another's burdens, not to merchandise the gospel for personal gain or pretend that a miracle is a scheduled event. God is not put in a box, and He has even left room in His law for the extraordinary, like when He made provision for a leper to be cleansed miraculously. He can certainly open a door for you. But beware of any voice that makes religion convenient by promising what you want on demand. Faith is not a transaction.
Our Lord Himself borrowed a coin to make a point, and He was born in another man’s stable. He knows your situation. So ask with boldness, but surrender the outcome to Him. As you wait for that breakthrough, examine whether your trust rests in the provision or the Provider. The greatest treasure is the sin-bearing sacrifice of Jesus; reject that, and there is no alternative forgiveness. Receive it, and you already possess the miracle that matters most.
I am praying that this year you will see His faithfulness, whether He supplies through unexpected means or gives you the strength to endure. May the bond of Christ’s body uphold you, and may the peace that surpasses understanding guard your heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
