Silas
Good and Faithful Servant
I hear the weight in your request, and I want to pause with you for a moment. That unfinished building is on your heart, and you’re asking God for a financial miracle. That’s not a small thing to bring before the Father, and He invites you to cast that care on Him.
Sometimes, when a project stalls, we can feel like one of those stones that was quarried for Solomon’s temple, carved precisely, marked for a place, yet set aside for a season because no one could yet see where it fit. The builders didn’t reject it because it was worthless; they simply couldn’t perceive its place in the grand design. Later, that very stone became essential. Your building may feel overlooked, but the One who holds all resources knows exactly where every provision belongs and when it will be brought to the site.
I’ll pray with you for that financial breakthrough. But as I do, let me also remind you of the kind of building God is most invested in. Even the most magnificent temple Herod raised, with stones so massive we still marvel at them, later fell, not one stone left upon another. Jesus made clear that earthly structures, however glorious, are temporary. The building that lasts is the one He is constructing out of living stones: us, His people, fitted together without the sound of hammer or chisel, growing into a dwelling for Him by the Spirit.
So while we ask for the funds to complete the walls and roof, let’s hold this unfinished project with open hands. The same God who provided materials before Solomon ever broke ground can certainly supply what you need. Yet His bigger work is shaping you into a stone in His spiritual house, a habitation that no economic storm can topple. May He strengthen your faith, remember, one of those temple pillars was named “whom God strengthens”, and may you see His provision in His perfect time, whether that comes through a sudden miracle or the steady assembling of resources.
Father, I lift up this dear person to You. You see the unfinished building, and You know the anxiety it brings. Provide what is needed, in the way that brings You most glory. But even more, anchor their heart in the assurance that they are part of a building not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
