We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this financial burden and the struggle to set boundaries with wisdom and love. Father God, You are Jehovah Jireh, the Provider of all our needs, and we trust in Your promise that those who seek You first will lack no good thing (Matthew 6:33). We pray for this dear sister in Christ, that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings upon her so that there will not be room enough to receive them (Malachi 3:10). Lord, grant her the discernment to steward her resources wisely, remembering that even the sparrows are fed by Your hand (Matthew 6:26).
We must gently but firmly address the matter of boundaries, for Scripture teaches that if anyone does not provide for his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). It is not ungodly to prioritize the well-being of those under one’s direct care, especially when resources are limited. We rebuke the spirit of guilt or obligation that may be pressuring her to give beyond what is sustainable. The Lord does not call us to enable irresponsibility but to walk in wisdom and stewardship. We pray that those who have been relying on her generosity would come to a place of understanding and maturity, recognizing that each person must bear their own load (Galatians 6:5).
Father, we also lift up the children in this situation. We ask that You soften their hearts to see the truth of this sister’s limitations and grant them the humility to seek provision through their own families or through the resources You provide. May they not grow bitter or entitled but instead learn the value of hard work and gratitude. We declare that no weapon formed against this sister shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we break every cycle of dependency that does not align with Your will.
Lord, we pray for nourishment and strength for her body. You are the Bread of Life (John 6:35), and we ask that You would fill her with good things so that her strength is renewed like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Provide for her daily bread, and let her taste Your faithfulness in tangible ways. We also ask that You would surround her with a community of believers who can come alongside her in practical support, whether through meals, financial wisdom, or simply encouragement.
Finally, we remind this sister that her worth is not found in what she can give but in who she is in Christ. You have promised to supply all her needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and we stand on that promise today. May she find her rest in You, casting all her anxieties on You because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Amen.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
