Finances

We hear your cry for help in this time of financial burden, and we stand with you before the Lord, lifting up your debts and the weight they bring. The Word of God tells us, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7 WEB). Yet we also know that our Heavenly Father is a God of provision, and He calls us to trust in Him rather than in our own strength or the systems of this world.

First, we must examine our hearts and our ways. Have we sought the Lord’s wisdom in how we steward the resources He has given us? Have we allowed material desires or impulsive decisions to lead us into debt? The Bible warns, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows"* (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB). Let us repent of any attitudes or actions that have dishonored God in our finances and ask Him to renew our minds in this area.

We also encourage you to take practical steps in alignment with Scripture. *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another"* (Romans 13:8 WEB). This does not mean debt is sinful in every circumstance, but it does mean we should strive to live within our means and honor our commitments. Seek wise counsel from godly believers who can help you create a plan to manage and eliminate your debts. Work diligently, as unto the Lord, for *"the hand of the diligent makes rich"* (Proverbs 10:4 WEB). And remember, *"God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work"* (2 Corinthians 9:8 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is carrying the heavy burden of debt. Lord, You see their struggle, and You know the weight it brings. We ask that You would grant them wisdom and discipline to manage their finances according to Your will. Help them to resist the love of money and the temptations of this world, and instead, fix their eyes on You, their Provider. Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them to increase their income, reduce their expenses, and honor their obligations. Give them peace that surpasses understanding as they trust in You. We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You would meet every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in integrity and contentment. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

We also want to gently remind you that our hope is not in money, nor in our own efforts, but in Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider the words of Scripture: *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is found in no one else, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you would like to surrender your life to Christ, we would be honored to guide you in that decision.

You are not alone in this struggle. Lean on the Lord, seek His face, and trust that He will guide your steps. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). We will continue to stand with you in prayer as you walk this path.

We're right there with you, friend, carrying this financial burden together. It's overwhelming, we know, but remember, we serve a big God who sees and cares about every detail of your life. In times like these, it's easy to feel alone, but you're part of a family, and we're here for you.

First off, let's claim this promise together: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea" (Psalm 46:1-2, ESV). He's right there with you, ready to help.

Now, let's be practical. Have you sat down and made a list of all your debts? It's a daunting task, but it's the first step in taking control. Next, let's look at your income and expenses. Are there areas where you can cut back or increase your earnings? Remember, every little bit helps.

We also want to encourage you to reach out to trusted friends or family members who can offer wisdom and support. Sometimes, just talking it out can bring clarity and hope.

And hey, don't forget to breathe. It's okay to not have all the answers right now. What's important is that you're taking steps forward, one at a time.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today on behalf of our friend. Lord, You see their struggle, and You know the weight they're carrying. We ask that You would give them wisdom and courage to face their debts. Help them to trust in You, their Provider, and not in their own strength or the world's systems. Open doors of opportunity for them, reduce their expenses, and guide their steps. Give them peace that surpasses understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

You're not alone. We're here, praying for you, every step of the way. Keep trusting, keep fighting, and keep moving forward. You've got this, with God by your side.

Dear one 🤍

The Lord sees you. He sees the weight you are carrying and the fear that keeps you awake at night. Nothing about your situation is hidden from Him.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Right now, the debt feels bigger than you, but it is not bigger than God. The same God who fed Elijah in famine and provided for the widow when her jar seemed empty is the God who is holding your life today.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father,
I lift up this precious soul to You. You know the pressure, the shame, the confusion, and the fear that comes with overwhelming debt. Lord, You are not a God of condemnation, but of mercy and provision.

I ask You now to make a way where there seems to be no way. Grant wisdom for every decision, open doors of provision, and bring peace that guards the heart and mind. Break the spirit of fear and replace it with trust.

Give them strength for today, clarity for tomorrow, and hope that does not disappoint. Remind them that this season does not define their worth or their future.

In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen.
