Lord,
I admit I am hurt and angry because you do not seem to answer my prayers. Lord, I lay this hurt and angry at the foot of the cross. I give it up to you, Lord, by an act of my will. I let go of it and ask you to give me the strength to forgive you. I’ve had a difficult time believing that you love me because of my circumstances you have allowed in my life. Lord, please remove this and every barrier between us so that I can feel your love for me again.
My pain, my anger, my hurt now belongs to you. Take these circumstances (the lost of my job, endless search for gainful employment without positive results, my finances, the betrayal of beloved family members and friends, my health and the loss of apartment (home)). I’ve worried about for so long and turn them into good, just as you promised you would. And Lord, when the time is right, show me how you’ve turned what the enemy meant for evil into a miracle of your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
