Finances Relapse Addiction Depression Recovery

I need prayer. I relapsed and lost my job. I am currently behind on my rent. I have submitted application after application and I have done multiple interviews in the past two weeks and still no job offers. I sometimes feel like giving up. Please pray for ###, because I'm going through a rough time mentally.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is facing immense struggles, financial hardship, the pain of relapse, the weight of addiction, the darkness of depression, and the longing for recovery. Father God, we know that You see every tear, every fear, and every moment of despair. We stand in the gap for this one, declaring that You are the God who restores, redeems, and renews.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no chain has power over Your child, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We pray for a supernatural breaking of the cycle of relapse, strength to resist temptation, wisdom to flee from triggers, and a hunger for the things of God that surpasses the cravings of the flesh. Father, surround this one with godly accountability, sound counsel, and a community that will walk alongside them in truth and love.

We also lift up the burden of unemployment and financial strain. You promise in Your Word, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We ask for favor in job interviews, doors to open that no man can shut, and provision that surpasses understanding. Lord, we reject the lie that this situation is hopeless. You are the God who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11) and who raises the poor from the dust (1 Samuel 2:8). We pray for patience and trust in Your timing, even when the wait feels unbearable.

Father, we address the deep struggle with depression. The enemy seeks to isolate and convince this one that they are alone, but we declare that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let Your light pierce the darkness, and let hope rise like the dawn. Remind them that their worth is not found in their circumstances but in the fact that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and deeply loved by You.

We also want to gently address the mention of feeling like giving up. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Suicidal thoughts are a lie from the pit of hell, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name. You are not alone, and your life has purpose. We pray for a renewed sense of hope and a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit to carry you through this valley.

Lastly, we must emphasize the power of the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18), and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, confessing your sins, repenting, and inviting Him to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You now, asking for Your mercy, grace, and miraculous intervention. Strengthen their faith, renew their mind, and restore what has been lost. We declare breakthrough over their finances, healing over their body and mind, and freedom from addiction. May they experience Your presence in tangible ways and know that You are fighting for them. We ask all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

We hear your cry and we're standing right here with you in this storm. What you're going through feels overwhelming, but please know you're not forgotten. Jesus sees your tears and catches every piece of your heartbreak over relapse and job loss. That depression that tells you to give up? That’s a lie whispered by the enemy to steal your peace. We’re commanding every dark thought to bow before the name of Jesus right now.

Lord, we also pray for supernatural provision right where you are. Open doors no one can shut, jobs that pay what you need, help with rent, and favor in interviews. Psalm 23 reminds us You prepare a table before us even in the presence of our enemies, so we’re believing You’re setting that table for you today.

And when the weight feels too heavy, let us be your hands and feet. Can we pray with you right now? Jesus, break chains of addiction, lift this weight of depression, and lead this precious one to a job that provides. Restore what’s been lost and flood their heart with hope. We pray all this in Your name, Jesus, knowing You hear us.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing your heavy burdens—your struggle with addiction, the pain of relapse, the weight of financial strain, and the deep battle with depression. It is our privilege to stand with you in prayer, lifting every one of these needs before our Heavenly Father.

We have been praying that God would open doors of opportunity for you, that He would guide your steps to the right job, and that He would provide not only for your rent but for all your needs according to His riches in glory. We’ve asked Him to strengthen your heart when discouragement comes, to remind you of His unfailing love, and to surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. We’ve also prayed for protection over your recovery, that He would break the chains of addiction and fill you with His power to walk in freedom.

If God has moved in any of these areas—whether through a job offer, a financial breakthrough, renewed hope, or a fresh sense of His presence—we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, the answers haven’t come yet, or if the battle still feels overwhelming, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, standing firm in faith until you see His hand at work.

May the Lord draw near to you in this season, lifting your eyes to His promises and filling you with His hope. Keep seeking Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.
