Finance Captivity and Breakthrough

We hear your cry for financial freedom and deliverance from oppression and depression, and we join with you now to seek our Father's will together in Jesus' name.
We understand the heaviness you feel as if your finances are held captive and you are under torture, and we want to remind you of the truth of spiritual warfare and the far greater power of Christ. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Yet we do not face this battle in our own strength, for you are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. The enemy, including Lucifer and every work of witchcraft, is a defeated foe because Christ has delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love Colossians 1:13, and in Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins.
We also gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God and victory over the enemy. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for in His name alone we have authority to resist the devil and find peace with God. We urge you to be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, depression and torment that has oppressed you, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and we rebuke any teaching that would keep you in bondage to the idea that witchcraft or Lucifer has ultimate power over a child of God. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. At the same time we encourage you to walk in biblical stewardship and trust, for My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. Breakthrough does not come from a formula or from fearing the enemy, but from submitting to God, walking in repentance where needed, closing any door to the occult by turning from it completely, living in obedience, prayer, fasting, and the Word, and being faithful with what God has entrusted to you.
For the depression and torture you describe, we are reminded that God draws near to the brokenhearted and He promises His peace. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You only in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that through His blood we have redemption and authority over all the power of the enemy. We lift up this dear one to You and ask for deliverance from every demonic assignment, every work of witchcraft and oppression that has sought to take finances captive and bring depression and torture. We command in Jesus' name that those forces be broken and flee, and we ask You to fill every place of fear with Your power, love and sound mind. Lord, bring breakthrough according to Your will, provide for every need, grant wisdom for stewardship, work and provision, lift the heavy burden of depression and replace it with Your peace that passes all understanding, and let this dear one know deeply that they are more than a conqueror through Him who loved us Romans 8:37. Teach them to seek You first, to rest in Your supply and Your timing, and to walk daily in the victory You have already won. We ask all this in the precious and only name of Jesus Christ, our deliverer and provider, amen.

Your cry under this captivity has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord who alone can bring forth His people from dark and oppressive places.
Egypt may very fairly represent those states of sorrow and sadness, depression and oppression, into which God's people come far too frequently. It is possible to go down into Egypt by reason of our own depression of spirit, inward conflict and despondency, and you describe well that torture and sinking of heart which makes a man feel that he can do nothing and knows it. Yet the comfort of the gospel is this, that deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone, and when such a liberation is performed, then do we rapturously sing, He brought them forth.
We do not look to winds or to pitiless seas, nor to any power of darkness to have the final word, for we have been delivered from worse enemies and saved by a greater salvation. The Scripture declares that the Father has delivered us from the power of darkness and has found a ransom. That ransom is not silver or gold, but the precious blood of the Lamb slain. Pharaoh held Israel captive during all the plagues, but he could not go beyond a certain point, for when the lamb was slain deliverance came. So we look altogether and alone to our heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, in whom we have both justification and sanctification, both pardon from guilt and power over sin and the adversary. The Lord Jesus has borne the penalty, and God has said, I have found a ransom, so the prisoner ready to be executed receives undeserved deliverance.
We pray for you now.
O Lord God who made heaven and earth, from whom all help comes, look with tender pity upon this Your child oppressed in finances and in spirit. We ask that You would rebuke every evil work and cover this life with the blood of Your Son, that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper. Deliver from the archers of distress and from the heavy captivity that tortures the mind. Lift up this soul from inward sinking and grant peace that passes understanding. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and give wisdom for stewardship, labour and counsel, for You ordain deliverance but You do not exclude the use of means. Grant not only bread for the body but joy in the heart, that this affliction may be seen as Your fatherly chastening and Your sure pathway to declare Your works. Let the clock of mercy strike the hour of deliverance according to Your eternal purpose, and keep this one trusting wholly in free grace.
Take heart, for the believer's conduct after affliction and after deliverance is to say, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. If we had no troubles we would have less to declare, but those who have known the pit know best the sweetness of the rescue. Rest your soul upon Christ alone, for salvation is through Him alone. Look right away to Him in whom your hope lies, continue in prayer, in the Word, and in faithful diligence in the duties of your calling, and seek godly counsel for the ordering of your finances. May the Lord whisper to your heart that you shall not be crushed, and in due time bring you forth to praise Him in the congregation of His people.
