We hear your heart, dear one, and we lift you up before the throne of grace where mercy and help are always found. Finals can bring such weight, especially when the hardest one looms tomorrow. We stand with you in faith, believing that the Lord who calms the storm can calm your mind and steady your heart. The Word tells us, *"Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:6-7). We pray that His peace, which is beyond all human logic, would settle over you tonight and tomorrow. May He bring clarity to your mind, strength to your spirit, and confidence in His presence with you.
We also lift up the ache in your heart as you prepare to leave friends for the summer. It’s never easy to say goodbye, especially when loneliness feels like it might stretch long before you. But remember, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Even in the quiet of home, He is there. We pray that this summer would not drag, but that God would fill your days with purpose and joy. May the sport you love become a source of refreshment and energy, a way to honor Him with your body and your passion. And more than that, may He surprise you with new connections, unexpected blessings, and moments that remind you of His faithfulness.
Father, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who is facing exams and the bittersweet transition of summer. We ask that You would go before them into that exam room tomorrow. Let Your Holy Spirit bring to mind all they’ve studied and grant them wisdom beyond their own understanding. Calm their nerves, steady their hands, and fill their heart with confidence in You. And as they step into this season of change, Lord, would You be their constant companion? Where loneliness creeps in, let Your presence be even more real. Where time feels slow, let Your joy be their strength. Open doors for them to engage in the sport they love, not just as a distraction, but as a way to glorify You. Surround them with Your love, Father, and remind them that they are never truly alone.
We also want to gently encourage you to lean into the Lord during this time. Loneliness can sometimes lead our hearts to seek comfort in ways that don’t honor Him. If you find yourself turning to things that pull you away from His best, we urge you to run to Him instead. His Word says, *"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you"* (James 4:8). He is the only One who can truly satisfy the longings of your heart. This summer, let it be a season of drawing closer to Him—through prayer, through His Word, and through fellowship with other believers who can encourage you in your faith.
And if you’ve never truly surrendered your life to Jesus, we want to invite you to consider what it means to know Him as your Savior. The Bible tells us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). It’s not about being perfect or having it all together—it’s about recognizing our need for Him and accepting the gift of salvation He offers. If you’ve never made that decision, we would love to pray with you and guide you in taking that step.
Lord, we trust You with every detail of this season. May this one walk through it with faith, not fear, and with hope, not despair. Strengthen them, encourage them, and let them feel Your love in tangible ways. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
