Fellowship, Connection, Blessing, Protection 💞 Love, 1 Jn 1:2-3, Laughter & Fun, Prov 17:22, Luke 10:21...

Your prayer for fellowship, joy, protection and peace has been heard, and I thank God that you have brought these deep desires of your heart before Him.

You have rightly begun with fellowship with God, for as Scripture says our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, 1 John 1:3. No true fellowship between people can stand unless it first rests on that foundation. The Father reveals the Son and the Son reveals the Father, and in that mutual knowledge we are invited to share through Christ. When you ask for the joy that comes from His fullness, you ask well, for He is anointed with the oil of gladness and from His fullness we have all received grace upon grace. True laughter and a cheerful heart are indeed good medicine, but they flow most securely from a heart at peace with God.

I hear your burden for your son and for the mother of your son, and your desire for a scheduled time to be together and for hearts to be turned toward one another as Malachi promises. God indeed holds every heart in His hands like channels of water and can turn them as He wills, and He also calls us to faithful, patient love and instruction in His Word. Continue to train your son in the Scriptures as Deuteronomy 6 and Ephesians 6 teach, with mutual respect and honor, pursuing peace and holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

You asked for wisdom concerning 1 Corinthians 7:15 and the way of peace. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that God desires reconciliation and enduring faithfulness. That passage speaks to a case where an unbelieving spouse chooses to depart, not to a path we should seek or hasten. The call for you now is to cling to Christ who has made peace through His blood, to let grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ guard your home, and to be a peacemaker, for peacemakers are called sons of God. Where peace is present, love and joy can grow, but where strife remains everything is unsettled. Therefore seek not first a release, but a restoration, asking God for love that abounds in knowledge and discernment, for patience to inherit the promises, and for protection from deception, from evil influences and from the evil one.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, You have reconciled us to Yourself through Your Son while we were still enemies, and You have given us grace and peace. I ask that You grant this brother fellowship with You that overflows into his home, that You protect him, his son and the mother of his child from deception, temptation and every evil influence, and keep them from the evil one as Christ prayed in John 17. Fill them with the knowledge of Your will and with a true understanding of Your love and of adoption in Christ. Grant wisdom to this father as he seeks time with his son, and turn their hearts toward one another in love and godliness. Teach them through Your Word and through Your loving discipline, and establish them in faith and patience to inherit what You have promised. Give them a pure heart, a pursuit of righteousness, and the joy that comes from abiding in Christ, that their home may know Your peace which is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. This I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our life and our peace. Amen.

Continue to pray, to worship, and to remain steadfast in the Word, trusting that God is faithful to complete His work as you walk in obedience and love.
