Disciple of Prayer
I'm in need of prayer. I feel like my whole marriage has been a lie. I cant stand to be in the same room as my husband he has betrayed me in the worst ways. I've found out that he talks bad about me to his mom and then she tells my son it's so weird. I feel like my life is spinning out of control the one person that I thought I could talk to about anything is talking about me and not in a good way. It's so hard to look at him let alone talk to him knowing what he have done. He says it's a lie but in my heart I know he said it. I dont know what to do my life is spinning out of control. I've been praying constantly. And to top it off we are homeless we stay from place to place with my two younger daughters he know that I dont have a job so he's the only one working so I feel like hes treating me like crap because we have no one but him he's eating in front of us we have no food to eat its just crazy please pray for me that God gets me and my girls away from him.

We hear the deep pain and betrayal in your heart, and we stand with you before the Lord, lifting up your marriage, your children, and your desperate need for provision and peace. The Word of God tells us, "A man who commits adultery lacks sense. Whoever does it destroys his own soul. He will get wounds and dishonor. His reproach will not be wiped away" (Proverbs 6:32-33). Betrayal in marriage is a grievous sin, and the emotional wounds it inflicts are profound. You are not wrong to feel the way you do, your husband’s actions, whether through words or deeds, have broken trust and violated the sacred covenant of marriage.

Scripture is clear that marriage is to be held in honor, and the marriage bed kept pure (Hebrews 13:4). When a spouse speaks ill of their partner, especially to family, it sows division and dishonor. "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear" (Ephesians 4:29). Your husband’s words to his mother, and the ripple effect it has had on your son, are not only hurtful but sinful. His denial of the truth only compounds the pain, as deception is another layer of betrayal.

The financial and physical hardship you’re enduring, homelessness, hunger, dependence, adds an unbearable weight to your suffering. God sees your struggle and hears your cries. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, and your daughters are not forgotten. The Lord is your provider, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

We must also address the reality of your situation with truth and love. While divorce is permitted in Scripture for cases of adultery or abandonment (Matthew 19:9, 1 Corinthians 7:15), we urge you to seek godly counsel, through a pastor, a biblical counselor, or a trusted Christian mentor, before making any permanent decisions. Your safety and the well-being of your children are paramount. If you are in immediate danger or if your husband’s behavior escalates to abuse (emotional, physical, or otherwise), we strongly encourage you to seek help from local authorities or a domestic violence shelter.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister and her daughters. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the desperation in her spirit. You know the lies that have been spoken, the trust that has been broken, and the hunger that gnaws at their bodies. Father, we ask that You would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in this time of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, we pray for conviction to fall upon her husband. Soften his heart to repentance, that he would turn from his sin, seek forgiveness, and begin the hard work of rebuilding trust. If he is unwilling, we ask that You would remove him from their lives in a way that protects this family and brings them peace. Provide for their every need, shelter, food, safety, according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of division and deception that has entered this marriage. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Heal the wounds in her heart, Lord, and restore her hope. Give her wisdom to know what steps to take next, and surround her with godly people who will support and encourage her.

We pray for her children, that they would feel Your love and protection. Guard their hearts from bitterness and fear, and let them see Your faithfulness even in this storm. Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for employment, stable housing, and community. Let her not be ashamed or forsaken (Isaiah 54:4).

Above all, we pray that she would draw near to You, Jesus, and that You would draw near to her (James 4:8). Let her find her identity, worth, and strength in You alone. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Amen.

Sister, you are not alone. The Lord is your defender, and He will not abandon you. We encourage you to reach out to a local church or Christian organization that can provide practical and spiritual support. If you are not already connected to a body of believers, ask the Lord to lead you to one. You may also find resources through organizations like [Focus on the Family](https://www.focusonthefamily.com/) or [The Hotline](https://www.thehotline.org/) (for domestic safety concerns).

In the meantime, cling to God’s promises. "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). He is fighting for you, even when you cannot see it. Keep praying, keep trusting, and let Him lead you one step at a time.

We can only imagine how disorienting and painful this must feel, the person you trusted most speaking against you, your own home gone, and the cruelty of watching him eat while you and your daughters go hungry. That is a heavy, heavy weight, and we grieve with you that you are carrying it. None of this is your fault, and you are not powerless, even though it often feels that way.

One thing we have seen is that sometimes a local church can step into a desperate situation in very practical ways, the way one congregation helped a mother of four who suddenly faced homelessness. They found her an apartment, helped her move, and connected her with a social worker who could get food and assistance. You need that kind of tangible help right now, especially with your two younger daughters. If there is a church nearby, even one you have not attended before, consider walking in and asking to speak with a pastor or someone in the women’s ministry. Tell them you are homeless, you have no food, and you need a safe way out with your children. They may also know of shelters, food pantries, or other programs that can give you breathing room while you figure out the next steps.

We know it is scary to speak up, especially after being spoken about so unfairly. But your safety and your daughters’ well-being are worth it. In the meantime, we are praying with you.

Jesus, hold this mother close tonight. You see the hunger and the humiliation and the ache of betrayal. Bring her to people who will help without judgment, a real, safe place for her and her girls. Give her the wisdom to know which door to walk through and the courage to take that step. Protect her heart from despair, and let her know she is not alone. In Your name we pray, Amen.

The trial is dreadful, yet let faith perceive the hand of your Father in it. Surely there is nothing better for a child of God than to know that her smarts and sorrows come from His hand, for then she can say, "The will of the Lord be done." It is not for you to choose your affliction, that remains with Him who chooses your inheritance. Read well this word: "The Lord has chastened me sorely," and see His hand in the soreness of your trial. A person who has no experience of tribulation, what great deliverance has she to speak of? You have been thrust into the deep waters, but He who taught you to swim will not let you sink.

The betrayal you feel is a wound that reaches the quick, and it mirrors a darker sin. Man betrayed his God, and this treachery is seen most foully in Judas, who sold his Lord for silver. There are some who will sell Christ for the smallest piece, and many who wound His Body with their tongues. Do not be confounded that the one you trusted has spoken evil of you; the Lord Jesus walked this path before you. Yet remember that Christ suffered this treachery that He might offer a perfect atonement for all sin. His heart was pierced so that He might be a faithful High Priest, touched with the feeling of your infirmities. Look to Him who was betrayed with a kiss, and find fellowship in His sufferings.

While your heart aches, let your cry ascend continually. "Lord, help me!" is the prayer for you. It is a handy prayer, suited for the destitute. He does hear the groaning of the prisoner, and He will regard the prayer of the destitute and not despise it. When prayer is intensified into a cry, the heart is urgent to have an audience with Jehovah. Be importunate, even as the woman of Canaan who would not release her hold on Christ until He blessed her. Her "Lord, help me!" was the arrow that pierced the clouds. Use it. Pray it not with foaming words but with the energy of a deep, hidden torrent that cuts a channel through rock. This is what your condition requires: earnestness, not mere saying of prayers, but an agonizing with God who alone can deliver.

Yet take comfort in this: the Lord Jesus Christ prays for you. He has said, "I have prayed for you." It is prevalent and prevenient, He prayed before you ever tasted this gall. What a balm to overhear, as it were, the Son of God breathing out your name in the sacred place where no earthly ear may intrude! If He intercedes, His prayers come from His inmost soul. They are not hypocritical but full of love. Rest in this. He knows His own peculiar circumstances, and He pleads for your deliverance.

For your present want of bread, plead that the God of peace would cause His face to shine upon you. You cannot mend your husband's heart, you must leave that with God. But for yourself and your daughters, seek to be brought out from this pit. The Lord can make a way where there is no way. Meantime, let no bitterness root itself within you. Blessed is the one who is empty, for God will fill her. He will make her alive. The answer may tarry, but wait upon Him. Sincere suppliants are not content with praying for praying’s sake; they desire to reach the ear and heart of Jehovah. You shall surely have Christ, for He never finally refuses to listen to such pleading. Trust Him. He will deliver you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heart's cry reaches the throne of God, who sees every secret thing and knows the depths of your pain. Betrayal from the one who should be your closest companion is a heavy cross, made heavier still by hunger and homelessness. Remember that our Lord Himself was betrayed by one who shared His table, and He endured such sorrow for our salvation. He is not distant from your affliction.

Do not let resentment consume you. Cast your anguish before Him who judges justly. Pray not only for deliverance, but for the grace to keep your own soul from the snares of bitterness. Your husband’s cruelty in eating while his own children hunger is a grave sin that cries out to heaven, but vengeance belongs to God. Seek refuge in the Church, which is the household of the faithful. If there is a congregation near, even a small one, lay your need before them. They are Christ’s hands to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless. Do not be ashamed, for it is the glory of the Church to care for the destitute.

If your husband remains hardened, the elders must confront him. But your first duty is to protect your daughters. Trust in God’s providence: He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows will not forsake His children. I will pray with you that He opens a way for you and your little ones, either through the repentance of your husband or through the charity of the saints, so that you may no longer be subjected to such cruelty. Hold fast to your faith; the night is darkest just before dawn, and the Lord will not tarry forever.

Your pain is raw and real, and the weight you are carrying feels impossible to bear alone. The betrayal cuts deep because marriage is meant to be a place of sacred trust, a covenant where two become one. When that oneness is fractured by whispered words and cruelty, the wound reaches into your very spirit. It is no small thing to discover that the one you leaned on has spoken against you and allowed your children to hear it. God sees every hidden word spoken in darkness, and He knows the truth that sits heavy in your heart, even when your husband denies it.

The hunger your daughters face and the sight of him eating while you have nothing is a wound God does not ignore. Scripture shows us that human need, the growling stomach and the desperate ache, moves the heart of God. The law was never meant to crush the hungry; provision was built into the very fields of the harvest. God made a way for the needy to eat and be filled. In your homelessness and lack, He has not abandoned you. His compassion for you and your girls is more real than any locked door or empty cupboard.

Jesus faced cunning questions designed to trap Him, yet He perceived the heart and escaped every snare. He is the same Lord today who knows the truth of your situation better than you do. When your husband calls it a lie but your heart knows what was said, entrust that knowing to the One who discerns all things. He is not confused. He is not fooled. You do not need to convince your husband of the truth right now; you need to anchor yourself to the One who is Truth itself.

I am praying that God will make a way where there seems to be no way, that He will open a door for provision and safety for you and your daughters. The Lord of the Sabbath declared that the day of rest was made for your benefit, not your burden. In the same way, He cares for your whole being. Let your constant prayers be not just for escape, but for wisdom in each next step. He will lead you. Do not let the bitterness take root; your adversary wants to use it to destroy your soul. Keep crying out, keep feeding on His Word even when physical food is scarce, and trust that He sees the husband who is meant to cherish you and will hold him to account. Your hope is not in a man who fails, but in the risen Lord who will never leave you nor your children. Hold fast to Him.
