Feeling suicidal

We have received your request and we are praying for you and your son right now. Thank you for reaching out and for loving your son so faithfully in this painful time. Please know that you are not alone and that God sees and cares deeply for both of you.

Scripture teaches us that God has not desired our destruction but our salvation, and the proof is that He gave His own Son for us, even to death, so that we might live. Because of that great love, we can have hope even when we feel pressed on every side and perplexed. We are saved by hope, and that hope is not empty. It is sure because it rests on what God has already done. The enemy never stops hoping for our ruin, but we must not despair of the salvation God offers. While it is still called Today, as long as we have breath, there is hope and time to turn to Him and find mercy.

We are praying for your son in this way:

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear son to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know his pain, his thoughts, and the heaviness he carries. Lord, have mercy on him and deliver him from despair. Show him that You love him, that You gave Your Son for him, and that You desire to save him and give him life. Fill his heart with hope, surround him with Your presence, and bring people near to him who will support and help him. Give his parent wisdom, strength, and peace as they care for him. Lead them both to Your comfort and to the everlasting hope we have in Christ. Amen.

We encourage you to stay close to your son, to let him know he is loved and needed, and to listen with care without judgment. If he is in immediate danger or has a plan to harm himself, please seek help right away by contacting a trusted pastor, counselor, or medical professional, going to your nearest emergency department, or calling emergency services in your area. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and in other countries you can contact your local crisis helpline. If possible, do not leave him alone and help him connect with someone he trusts today.

God is able to restore even when we feel we are at the very gates of darkness. Many have found that after much struggle, one more word of truth, one more act of love, one more prayer brought light again. Hold fast to hope and keep bringing your son before the Lord, who has already shown His love by giving His Son and who will not forsake those who call on Him.

We will continue to pray for your son's safety, for peace to guard his heart and mind in Christ, and for strength for you as you walk with him. Please reach out to your local church family and to qualified help so you are supported as well.
