We hear the deep struggle in your heart, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. What you have described is a grave sin, incest is clearly forbidden by God, as Scripture declares in Leviticus 18:6, "None of you shall approach anyone who is near of kin to him, to uncover his nakedness: I am Yahweh." The patterns you witnessed in your family and tribe are not God’s design but the result of fallen humanity’s brokenness. Yet we rejoice that the Holy Spirit has convicted you and drawn you away from this path. This is the mercy of God at work in your life.
We must also address the mention of a "wedding" and ceremonies that may not align with biblical truth. Marriage, as instituted by God, is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Any union outside of this design, whether through incest, same-sex relationships, or unbiblical traditions, is not honoring to the Lord. If this ceremony was not rooted in God’s Word, we must gently but firmly rebuke the deception and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you.
You mentioned feeling like God rescued you, and we believe He has. But we must also ask: Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Salvation comes only through Him (Acts 4:12), and it is His blood that cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and receive His forgiveness. The enemy would love to keep you bound in shame, but Christ came to set you free (John 8:36).

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving over the sin of incest and the generational bondage this dear one has faced. Yet we thank You, Lord, for Your conviction and deliverance. We ask that You break every chain of generational sin in their family line, in the name of Jesus. Wash them clean by the blood of Christ, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Father, reveal to them the truth of Your Word regarding marriage and purity. Guard their heart from deception and lead them into all truth. If they have not yet fully surrendered to You, draw them near, Lord. May they find their identity, worth, and freedom in Christ alone. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn, for this is their heritage as Your servant (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for healing, restoration, and a fresh start in You. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen."
We encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and find godly counsel. The road ahead may be difficult, especially if your family or tribe does not understand your decision to follow Christ. But remember, Jesus said, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, even his own life, he cannot be my disciple" (Luke 14:26). This does not mean we literally hate our families, but that our love and allegiance to Christ must come first.
You are not alone in this journey. The Lord is your strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
