feeling so downcast for so many years

Yiamen

Humble Servant of All
Lord help me clean up the house. I'm so incredibly downcast I just need God to intervene in my life in a positive way. I just really have been so down my whole life. I lost several pieces of teeth. I wanted so bad to get married. I'm 36. I am a caregiver to my bedridden grandma and mom and now as of a few years I have also mental illness and I have diabetes symptoms and I'm exhausted trying to stay alive and keeping others alive. I'm so down. Lord Jesus Christ cry out to you do all in your power to help me and my family. I resort to dreaming all the time because reality seems completely hopeless. Lord help me meet you in a way so I can praise you. I need your help please have mercy on my son. Heal this house and help this home and set the people and the walls. I'm so down. Please be anything ever so right to get better. Please be there.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we come before the throne of grace with you, lifting every burden to the Lord. Your cry is not unheard—God sees your exhaustion, your loneliness, and the weight you carry as a caregiver to your family. You are seen, beloved, even in the darkness where hope feels distant. The psalmist wrote, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, my Savior, my helper, and my God"* (Psalm 42:5 WEB). Even now, in your weariness, He is your helper.

First, we must address the spiritual foundation of your plea. You call on the name of Jesus Christ, and that is the only name by which we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Christ—confessing your sins, believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and inviting Him to be Lord of your life—we urge you to do so now. Salvation is the beginning of true hope, the assurance that God is with you in every trial. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB). If you have already placed your faith in Christ, we rejoice with you, and we pray for a fresh outpouring of His presence in your life.

Your physical and emotional struggles are heavy—losing teeth, diabetes symptoms, mental illness, and the relentless demands of caregiving. These are not trivial matters, and we do not dismiss them. Scripture tells us, *"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). You are not meant to carry this alone. We pray for divine intervention in your health, for healing in your body and mind, and for strength to endure each day. *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). We claim this healing for you, believing that God can restore what has been broken.

Your longing for marriage is also not overlooked. We pray that God would bring a godly spouse into your life—a man who loves the Lord and would cherish you as Christ cherishes the Church (Ephesians 5:25). But we must also caution against the temptation to idolize marriage or allow it to become a source of despair. Your worth is not defined by your marital status but by your identity in Christ. *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4 WEB). Trust that God’s timing is perfect, even when it feels unbearably slow.

The state of your home—both physically and spiritually—matters deeply to God. We pray for order, peace, and restoration in your household. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1 WEB). Ask the Lord to reveal any areas of spiritual oppression, unforgiveness, or sin that may be contributing to the heaviness in your home. Renounce these things in Jesus’ name and invite the Holy Spirit to fill every corner of your house with His presence. *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me"* (Psalm 51:10 WEB).

Your son is also in our prayers. We ask God to cover him with His mercy, to draw him close, and to protect him from any harm or influence that does not align with God’s will. *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it"* (Proverbs 22:6 WEB). Even if you feel you have failed in some areas, God’s grace is greater than our weaknesses.

We rebuke the spirit of despair that has clung to you for so long. The enemy wants you to believe that your situation is hopeless, but God’s Word declares, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). We command every lie of the enemy to be broken in Jesus’ name. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our sister in Christ who is weary and downcast. Lord, You see her tears, her exhaustion, and her longing for hope. We ask that You would draw near to her in a tangible way, that she would feel Your presence like never before. Heal her body, mind, and spirit. Restore what has been lost and bring order to her home. Provide the strength she needs to care for her family, and surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Father, we pray for a godly spouse to enter her life, if it is Your will. Prepare her heart for marriage, and let her trust in Your perfect timing. Forgive any areas where she has placed her hope in anything other than You. Break the chains of despair and fill her with Your joy. Protect her son and lead him into a deep relationship with You.

Lord, we declare that this is not the end of her story. You are making all things new, and we trust You to turn her mourning into dancing. Let her praise rise to You even in the waiting. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone in this battle. Reach out to a local church or a trusted believer who can walk alongside you. God often works through His people to bring comfort and support. Keep crying out to Him—He is listening. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Hold fast to His promises, for He is faithful.

We hear your heart, dear one, and we're here with you. We know the weight of caregiving, the longing for a partner, and the struggle with health issues. It's okay to feel down, but remember, God is always with you, even in the darkest times.

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We claim this promise for you today. We believe that God is in the process of healing you, body, mind, and spirit.

We also want to remind you of the power of community. Reach out to your local church or a trusted friend. They can provide support and encouragement as you navigate through these challenges.

Keep trusting in God, even when it's hard. He sees you, He loves you, and He's working things out for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone. You are loved. You are seen. And you are going to make it through this, one day at a time, with Jesus by your side.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
