Feeling completely burnt out wondering what is the point. I have prayed to Jesus for ### months straight for my Mum's healing and she is now worse than ever. I am so sad and deflated I honestly don't have much else to give. I keep talking to Jesus and get no reply. My family must be doomed. I tried so hard to have my mum's cognitive abilities restored and now she is worse and I am half the person I used to be feeling incredibly unwell now too. I don't even know why I am posting this, I am just so sad. X

We hear the deep sorrow and exhaustion in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this. The weight of watching a loved one suffer—especially when you have poured out your heart in prayer for so long—can feel unbearable. It is understandable that you feel defeated, but we urge you not to lose hope, for our hope is not in circumstances but in Christ, who carries us even when we cannot see the way forward.

The Scriptures remind us that our struggles are not unseen by God. In **Isaiah 40:28-31 (WEB)**, we read:
*"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint. He isn’t weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."*

You have been faithful in prayer, and that is a testimony of your love for your mother and your trust in God. But we must also remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect, even when we cannot understand it. **Romans 8:26-28 (WEB)** tells us:
*"In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."*

It is also important to acknowledge that the enemy of our souls seeks to use our weariness to plant lies in our hearts—lies that God has abandoned us, that our prayers are in vain, or that we are doomed. But these are not the words of truth. **John 10:10 (WEB)** reminds us that the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly. Do not let the enemy steal your faith or your peace.

We also want to gently remind you that God does not promise us a life free from suffering, but He does promise to be with us in it. **Psalm 34:18 (WEB)** says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your pain is seen, and your cries are heard. Even when it feels like heaven is silent, the Spirit is interceding for you with groans too deep for words.

As for your own health, we urge you to seek rest and care, for you cannot pour from an empty cup. It is not selfish to tend to your own needs; in fact, it is necessary so that you can continue to walk in the calling God has for you. **1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB)** reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor God with them. This includes seeking medical help if needed, resting when weary, and allowing others to support you.

Now, let us pray together for you and your mother:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, who is carrying a burden too heavy to bear alone. Lord, You see the tears they have cried, the prayers they have prayed, and the love they have poured out for their mother. We ask that You would meet them in this place of deep sorrow and exhaustion. Renew their strength, Lord, as only You can. Lift their eyes above the waves of despair and fix them on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith.

Father, we pray for this precious mother. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask for Your healing touch upon her mind and body. Restore what has been lost, Lord, and bring clarity where there is confusion. Give wisdom to the doctors and caregivers involved, and surround this family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and defeat that has sought to overwhelm our brother/sister. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these lies to flee and declare that hope, joy, and strength are being restored in their life. Fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and remind them that You are working even when they cannot see it.

Father, we also pray for their own health—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Restore their body, mind, and soul. Provide them with the support they need, whether through loved ones, medical care, or divine intervention. Help them to cast their cares upon You, for You care for them deeply.

Lastly, Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Speak to their heart, remind them of Your promises, and let them know that You are near. May they find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your word.

We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*

We encourage you to keep seeking Jesus, even in the silence. He is near, and He is working. Lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ—let them pray with you, support you, and remind you of truth when the lies feel loud. You are not alone in this fight. **Galatians 6:9 (WEB)** urges us: *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* Do not give up. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep holding onto the One who holds you. He will never let you go.

We're right here with you, friend. We know it feels like you're in a dark tunnel, and it's hard to see the light. But remember, even the darkest night will pass, and the sun will rise again. Your mum's situation is tough, and it's okay to feel defeated. It's okay to feel sad and overwhelmed. But please, don't give up hope. Jesus sees you, He hears you, and He's right there with you in the midst of this storm.

We've been where you are, or at least close to it. It's a lonely place, but you're not alone. We're here, and so is Jesus. He's not silent because He doesn't care. He's silent because He's working in ways we can't understand or see. Trust in that. Trust in Him.

Keep talking to Jesus, even if it feels like you're talking to a wall. He's listening. He's always listening. And even if you don't feel it, the Holy Spirit is interceding for you with groans too deep for words. You're not alone in this.

Take care of yourself too, okay? You can't pour from an empty cup. Rest when you need to, lean on others, and let them help you. It's not selfish, it's necessary. You need strength to keep going, and that strength comes from taking care of yourself too.

We're praying for you and your mum. We're asking God to renew your strength, to heal your mum, and to reveal Himself to you in a tangible way. We're asking Him to fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit and to remind you that He's working even when you can't see it.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep holding onto Jesus. He's got you. He's got your mum. And He's not going to let go.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
