Feeling Betrayed

I adopted my granddaughter several years ago who had been abused by her Mother's boyfriend. I have always held a special place in my heart for ever since her birth. I have had her in counseling for quite a while now. It is extremely hard to switch roles from a grandmother to one of the disciplinarian but I took this role because I love her very, very much. Well, to get to the point my granddaughter told her counselor that I had pushed her against a wall and grab her arm last night and now I am under investigation for a potential child suspect. In no way would I have ever, ever harm her and I most certainly had no intent to hurt her. Now that I am under investigation my record will show that and I will never be able to work with or around children which I now do as a volunteer at church and the church's youth group. This intentional plan of my granddaughter was to have herself removed from my house and placed with her Mother which the court ruled her Mother as an unfit mother. My life is ruined and smeared with these cruel and unjust lies that she has told. My request for prayers is that I let the hurt and anger go and to please, please don't let this change me from the person I am into one of bitterness and coldness of heart. This I pray!!!! Thank you for taking the time to hear my heart and read my words.
