We hear your cry for peace in the midst of anxiety, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your burden to the One who cares deeply for you. The Scriptures remind us, *"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."* (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Anxiety is a heavy weight, but our Lord invites you to lay it down at His feet, trusting that He holds your health and well-being in His hands.
We also recall the words of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB). It is only in Christ that true rest and peace can be found. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we urge you to consider the salvation He offers. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and surrender your life to Him—He is faithful to forgive and to give you a new heart.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is struggling with anxiety, asking that You would calm their heart and mind. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would strengthen their body, mind, and spirit. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Help them to cast every care upon You, knowing that You are in control and that Your plans for them are good.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus. We declare that this child of God is not given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We ask that You would replace their anxiety with trust in You. Surround them with Your presence, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
Lord, if there are areas in their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, reveal those to them. Help them to walk in obedience to Your Word and to seek You first in all things. We pray for godly community around them—friends, family, or a church body that will encourage them in faith and hold them accountable.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. May this dear one feel Your love and peace in a tangible way today. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God’s Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105 WEB). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with and for you, and consider speaking with a trusted pastor or counselor if your anxiety feels overwhelming. You are not alone—God is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Him, for He is your hope and your strength.
