We understand the weight of your anxiety as you wait for news about your job interview and the uncertainty of your financial future. The worry about provision and stability is heavy, but we want to remind you that our Heavenly Father knows your needs even before you ask Him. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."*
Your trust must rest in God’s provision, not in the outcome of this job or any earthly security. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to paralyze you, for 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* You are not alone in this season—God is your provider, and He will sustain you according to His perfect will.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is carrying the burden of financial uncertainty and anxiety about the future. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Calm their heart, Father, and replace fear with faith. Remind them that You hold their future and that no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Strengthen their trust in You, and let them cast every care upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). If this job is Your will, open the door swiftly and confirm it with peace. If it is not, close it firmly and lead them to the path You have prepared. Provide for their needs in ways only You can, and let them see Your hand at work in their life. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We also encourage you to reflect on Philippians 4:6-7, which says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Instead of dwelling on the "what ifs," bring your requests to God with a heart of thanksgiving, trusting that His peace will guard your heart.
If you have not already, take time to surrender this situation fully to the Lord. Lay your fears at His feet and ask Him to fill you with His peace. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you in this season. Remember, God’s timing is perfect, and He is never late. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not forgotten—God sees you, He hears you, and He will act on your behalf.
