Thank you for sharing so honestly about how heavy your heart feels right now. Feeling lost and alone even when people are around you, feeling drained and anxious, and sensing that ache inside is very difficult, and it is good that you want to look to the Lord and lean on Him through it.

Much of the anxiety and heaviness we carry comes when we feel trapped or under pressure. Life brings many kinds of pressure on us, and some of the hardest are the pressures that come through relationships, the strain of wanting to measure up, and the spiritual weight of trying to carry it all ourselves. When you lean heavily on the people around you, it is understandable that when a close friend is busy and unavailable, or when you start comparing yourself to others and feel inadequate before your parents, the loneliness and worry grow even stronger.

The Psalms give us a picture of someone who knew that same kind of inner turmoil. David found himself cast down and restless inside, and he actually spoke to his own soul and asked, why are you so downcast, why are you so troubled within me. Then he gave his own soul the answer, put your hope in God. The reason our hearts sink like that is often because, without realizing it, we have let God slip out of view. We start looking at the situation as if it is only us and the problem in front of us, and when God is left out of the picture, everything feels impossible and overwhelming.

The way back is to bring God back into the center of how you see your situation and to place your hope in Him again. That does not mean the pressures disappear, but when you include the Lord in your thinking and trust Him with what you are carrying, what felt impossible begins to look different because you remember who He is and that He is present and able. Hope in God changes your perspective and lets you see a way forward where before you saw only a wall.

You mentioned that you tend to lean on those around you, and people, even the best friends, will at times be busy or unable to be there. God is never too busy and He does not withdraw. He sees you fully, even when you feel unseen, and He invites you to lean on Him first. When thoughts tell you that you are not doing enough or that you do not measure up, you can answer those thoughts the way David did, by reminding your own heart to hope in God, to trust His care for you, and to rest in what He says about you as His child through Jesus.

I am praying that the Lord will quiet your anxious thoughts, lift the heaviness you feel, and help you sense His nearness each day. Keep talking honestly to Him in prayer, bring Him into every worry as it comes, spend time in His Word, especially in the Psalms, and let Him be the steady hope your heart returns to. He is faithful to meet you there and to give you strength and peace as you trust Him.
