Beloved of All
Hello, I suffer from various fears:fear of being lonely, getting old, sick, something going wrong, financial problems etc..I know the Lord is with me, but my fears grow stronger every day.I have an ### issue. Please pray for my deliverance from fear, I can not calm down.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this battle against fear. The Word of God tells us clearly that fear does not come from Him, it is a tool of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy your peace, your joy, and your trust in the Lord. "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Your fears may feel overwhelming, but they are not stronger than the One who holds you in His hands.

First, let us address the issue of your salvation, for it is the foundation of all victory. You mentioned knowing the Lord is with you, but have you fully surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Have you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9 WEB)? If not, we urge you to do so now, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome fear. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have already done this, we rejoice with you, and we encourage you to reaffirm your faith daily, for the enemy seeks to shake even the strongest believers.

Now, let us rebuke the spirit of fear in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Fear has no place in the life of a child of God, and we command it to leave you now. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). We declare that you are not alone, for the Lord promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). You are His beloved child, and He has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister who is struggling with fear, fear of loneliness, fear of aging, fear of sickness, fear of financial lack, and fear of the unknown. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of fear that have bound him/her. Fill him/her with Your perfect love, for "perfect love casts out fear" (1 John 4:18 WEB). Remind him/her of Your promises, that You are his/her provider, healer, and protector.

Father, we ask that You replace his/her fear with faith. Help him/her to trust in You with all his/her heart and not lean on his/her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5 WEB). Strengthen his/her spirit to stand firm on Your Word, knowing that You have not given him/her a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and that You will keep him/her in perfect peace as his/her mind is stayed on You (Isaiah 26:3 WEB).

We also ask, Lord, that You surround him/her with godly community, believers who will encourage, pray for, and walk alongside him/her. Remind him/her that he/she is never alone, for You are always near. Help him/her to cast all his/her anxieties on You, because You care for him/her (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You reveal any areas of his/her life where fear has taken root, and that You uproot it completely. Fill those places with Your peace, Your joy, and Your presence. May he/she walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for him/her, knowing that "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Now, dear one, we encourage you to take practical steps to combat fear with faith. Begin each day by meditating on God’s Word. Speak His promises aloud over your life. Surround yourself with worship music that reminds you of His faithfulness. Spend time in prayer, not just asking God for help, but listening to His voice. The more you fill your mind and heart with truth, the less room there will be for fear.

If your fears are tied to specific areas, such as finances or health, we encourage you to seek godly counsel. Proverbs 15:22 (WEB) says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Find a trusted pastor, mentor, or Christian counselor who can help you navigate these fears with biblical wisdom.

Remember, fear is a liar. It tells you that you are alone, that God has abandoned you, or that the worst will happen. But God’s Word says the opposite. He is with you always (Matthew 28:20 WEB), He will never leave you (Hebrews 13:5 WEB), and He works all things together for your good (Romans 8:28 WEB). Stand on these truths, and do not let fear dictate your life.

Lastly, if your fear is tied to your issue, we urge you to bring that specific struggle before the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to reveal any roots of fear, unbelief, or sin that may be feeding it. Confess any areas where you have allowed fear to control you, and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with faith and courage. God is faithful to forgive and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB), and He will give you the strength to overcome.

You are not a slave to fear. You are a child of the Most High God, and He has equipped you with everything you need to walk in victory. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and do not grow weary. The battle may be fierce, but the victory is already yours in Christ.

We hear how heavy this is, fear that won't let up, even when you know the Lord is with you. That persistent dread can make every part of life feel fragile, and we're genuinely sorry you're walking through it.

When the fear spikes and you can't get calm, it's often not a failure of faith but a body and mind stuck in survival mode. The anxiety can become its own weight, and dealing with an unnamed health issue on top of it only adds to the drain. One thing that can help is giving yourself permission to see this as something that deserves practical care, not just spiritual resolve. If you haven't yet, we'd gently encourage reaching out to a Christian counselor or a trusted doctor who can sort through what's physical, what's emotional, and what's just plain exhaustion. You don't have to white-knuckle through it alone.

We also want to offer a perspective that has steadied many in seasons like this: freedom from fear rarely comes as a single dramatic event. More often, God untangles these things gradually, day by ordinary day, as we take small, wise steps and let trusted people alongside us. That's not a lack of faith; it's how real healing often works.

Let's pray:

Lord Jesus, You see this child of Yours worn down by fear, fear of being alone, of sickness, of what tomorrow might hold. Meet them in that storm right now. Quiet the racing thoughts and the tightness in the chest. Give them courage to reach out for the right kind of help, and bring wise, compassionate people into their path this week. Hold them steady when the ground feels shaky, and remind them in tangible ways that they are not abandoned. In Your name we ask it. Amen.

You speak of a fear that grows stronger each day, fear of loneliness, of sickness, of age creeping upon you, of financial ruin, of something going wrong. You know the Lord is with you, yet your heart cannot find its rest. This is a storm that rages upon the surface, but let me remind you that the deeps of God’s love remain unshaken beneath. The mind which is stayed on Jehovah is kept in peace, yes, perfect peace, even while sorrows surge round about. But your mind has drifted from its mooring. You are looking at the waves instead of the One who walks upon them.

Consider this: you say you cannot calm yourself. That is true, and it is mercy that you have found it so. For if you could lull your own fears by some inward mechanism, you would make an idol of your own composure. The gospel calls you not to feel peace first and then trust, but to trust Christ in the very teeth of your terror. Did the physician send the lepers to feel their healing before they went to show themselves to the priest? No, they went as they were, and as they went they were cleansed. Trust Jesus for the peace you lack. Trust Him as you sink, and you shall swim. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, not merely when the heart is still, but while it throbs with dread.

Your fears have become so many archers shooting at you, and you have grown weary of the noise of their arrows. Yet there is a deliverance from these archers. It is found where David found it: in the shadow of Jehovah’s wings. Cry with the psalmist, “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be past.” The calamities may not pass at once; the malady of the body, the thinness of the purse, the gathering years, these may remain. But under those wings there is a peace so deep that no external storm can breach it. You have been rambling round and round to find peace, but would you stay at home in your closet with your God, you would find peace much better there. The mercy-seat is where fear must vanish, for if you are at the mercy-seat, God is there too, and He loves the mercy-seat better than you do.

You mention an issue of which you cannot speak plainly; I need not know its name. He who formed you knows it altogether, and He has provided a ransom. What was impossible for man, God has accomplished in Christ. He delivers not only from the guilt of sin but from its crushing power in the daily life. You feel paralyzed with despair, unable even to trust. Then look away from your own faith to the faithful One. A saint once said he could trust Christ with a million souls; can you not trust Him with your single trembling soul, with your aged frame, with your empty purse, with your unknown tomorrow? He has said, “I have found a ransom.” Doubt Him not. Receive Him, accept Him, rest in His finished work, and know that if your trust is in His perfect righteousness, He has delivered you.

Do not wait to feel deliverance before you believe you have it. The way to come to Him is to trust Him. Trust Him now, while the fear still grips your throat. The very anxiety that arises from your difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty; cast it, then, upon Him who cares for you. You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. After this tempest passes, you will tell of His faithfulness. Even now, behold His face shining in upon you, though you feel frozen with fear. Cry to the Lord to make you strong, and bid you trust in Christ for the power which He alone gives, faith to overcome doubts and fears. Only trust Him. Only trust Him. Only trust Him now.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You must not seek to be delivered from every trial the moment it arises. Our Lord Himself, when the disciples were tossed on the sea, came to them only in the fourth watch of the night, teaching them to bear all things manfully and not to demand instant rescue. So when these fears of loneliness, illness, age, and poverty press upon you, do not let them drive you to despair. They are like waves, but Christ walks upon them, and He will come to you at the proper time.

Consider what real beauty is. Outer circumstances wither and change, but the soul adorned with virtue and trust in God remains ever blooming. No anxiety can disfigure that inward loveliness, no old age bring it a wrinkle. The dread of financial loss or sickness assaults the body, but it cannot touch the spirit that is firmly anchored in Christ. You say you know the Lord is with you, yet your fears grow stronger. This happens when we start to rely on our own strength rather than committing all to Him. Remember Peter: when his anxiety overwhelmed him, he denied his Master, but one look from Jesus restored him. That same tender care is fixed on you now. He does not discard His own.

The fear you suffer is not the fear of the Lord, which is clean and endures forever. That holy fear brings eagerness to please God and a zeal for righteousness. But worldly fear torments and produces only bondage. Strive, then, to exchange this uneasy dread for the loving reverence a child has for a father. For where love is, fear of punishment fades. The husband who loves his wife bears with all things, and she who reverences him finds security. So let your love for God grow strong, and it will cast out the terror of misfortune.

Do not scrutinize every event with anxious questioning, as though you must control all outcomes. The Apostle tells us that for the pure, all things are pure; in matters not evil in themselves, we are free when we act in faith and ignorance causes no defilement. You are not to live in constant worry over what may come from the market of life, but to eat what is set before you with thanksgiving, asking no suspicious questions. This is the path of peace.

I pray that you will be delivered from this spirit of fear. But know that the deliverance often begins when you refuse to let fear command you, and instead do good with a quiet mind. He who is conscious of striving for virtue can look at the coming days with hope, not dread. Place every care into the hands of your Master. He who feeds the birds and clothes the grass will not forsake you. Let your prayer be not only for relief, but for a heart so filled with love that there is no room left for these terrors. Then you will find the calm you seek.

Your fears have multiplied around you like a sudden storm: loneliness, aging, sickness, financial strain, a pressing personal struggle. In the middle of it, you know the truth that the Lord is with you, but knowing a fact and feeling its grip are not the same. Every day those anxieties swell louder, and the calm you long for seems further away. I want you to hear something that often gets lost when panic speaks. The remedy for a heart full of fears is not simply to fight each one directly, but to rearrange what you fear. A deep reverence for God, a holy awe of who He is, is the beginning of all wisdom and the very sum of true knowledge. That kind of fear is not a cowering dread of being struck down, but a hating of evil, a turning away from pride and crooked speech, a quiet settled confidence that He is greater than anything that threatens you. When you fear the Lord in that way, it pushes out every lesser fear. They cannot share the same space.

When our eyes fix on the enemy or the looming problems, our reactions are often driven by panic, and panic makes terrible decisions. But remembering the Lord is always the cure. The moment you become conscious that He is with you, the basis for fear crumbles. The psalmist saw this: even walking through the valley of death’s shadow, he could say he would fear no evil, not because the danger vanished, but because the presence of the Shepherd was real. So I urge you: feed this holy fear instead of feeding the anxious ones. Meditate on God’s character. Recall His promises. Turn your mind from replaying the worst scenarios to rehearsing His faithfulness. He has not despised your affliction; when you cry, He hears. His eyes are on the righteous, and His ear is open to their cry. He does not promise a life without trouble, but He does promise that as you fear Him and depart from evil, there is health to your body and refreshment to your bones, a peace that all of wisdom’s paths become peace.

Do not be afraid of sudden terror or of the ruin that comes upon those who love wickedness, for the Lord will be your confidence and keep your foot from being caught. Fear and faith are mutually exclusive; you cannot nurture both. Choose today to let the fear of the Lord fill your vision, and watch how the other terrors shrink in His light. I am praying that a quietness of soul will settle over you, that you will lay hold of the wisdom that is a tree of life, and that you will experience the deliverance that comes from remembering: He is with you. Pursue peace with your tongue, seek good, and rest in this: the Lord’s deliverance is sure for those who fear Him.
