We understand the deep fear and anxiety you are carrying, especially as you face the possibility of losing your job while battling Lyme disease and its effects on your mind and body. It is clear that your heart is burdened not only for your own well-being but also for the care of your family, and we commend your dedication to providing for them. Yet, we must gently remind you that our trust must not rest in our jobs, our health, or even our own abilities, but in the Lord alone. He is our Provider, our Healer, and our Strength in every circumstance. The Scripture tells us in **Matthew 6:25-34**, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."*
We also want to encourage you with the words of **Philippians 4:6-7**, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* And again in **1 Peter 5:7**, *"casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* Your Heavenly Father knows your needs before you even ask, and He is deeply concerned for you and your family. He sees your struggle with Lyme disease, the moments of confusion, and the fear that grips your heart. He is not distant or indifferent—He is near, and He invites you to cast every care upon Him.
At the same time, we must address the fact that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, and it is only through Him that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and **Acts 4:12** affirms, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn from them, and believe in Him—He will save you, forgive you, and walk with you through every trial. If you have already trusted in Christ, we encourage you to come boldly before the Father *in His name*, for He is your advocate and intercessor.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. Lord, we ask that You would calm the storm of fear and anxiety that rages in their heart. Replace it with Your perfect peace, which transcends all understanding. You know the burden they carry—the fear of losing their job, the pressure of providing for their family, and the struggle with Lyme disease that affects their mind and body. Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. Restore their mind, sharpen their thoughts, and grant them clarity and wisdom in every word they speak, especially in moments of importance. Let no word of confusion or mistake be used against them, but instead, let Your favor surround them like a shield.
Lord, we pray that You would secure their position at their job if it is Your will. Open doors that no man can shut, and give them favor in the sight of their employers. Provide for their every need, for You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides. If it is Your will for them to transition to another job, we pray that You would go before them, preparing the way and providing abundantly. Give them the strength and faith to trust You in every outcome, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
Father, we also pray for their family. Comfort them, provide for them, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. May this trial draw them closer to You and strengthen their faith. Remind them that their worth is not found in their job, their health, or their performance, but in Christ alone.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze them. **2 Timothy 1:7** tells us that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* So we declare that fear has no place in their life. Instead, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who brings power, love, and a sound mind. Let them rise above this trial with confidence in You, knowing that You are their strength and their portion forever.
Finally, Father, we pray that if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, that today would be the day of salvation for them. Draw them to Yourself, Lord. Let them see their need for a Savior and turn to Jesus in faith. May they experience the peace and joy that comes from knowing You and walking in Your will.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on **Isaiah 41:10**, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Cling to this promise, and let it anchor your soul in the days ahead. Trust that God is working, even when you cannot see the way forward. Keep seeking Him in prayer, in His Word, and in fellowship with other believers. You are not alone in this—He is with you, and so are we, standing with you in prayer.
