Beloved of All
Father I ask thee in Jesus name if I should move forward. I am fearful of the outcome if I don’t move forward. Going forward in my case would mean 1) possibility of greater financial and emotional harm/risk. Not moving forward would mean potential eviction/homelessness. Some of the options look good but there’s no guarantee of getting the assistance I need. All I want is an amicable resolution without getting involved in legal battles. However, I cannot control management’s final decision about eviction. I will try reaching out to my advocate today. At the moment I don’t have not located any trusted people. Family is not trustworthy. I have an advocate who means well but I’m not sure his directives are your will Father. I also wanted to contact the landlord today as this issue has been going on since last year ###. Lost weeks of sleep because of this.

We hear your cry for wisdom and peace in the midst of this overwhelming situation, and we stand with you in seeking God’s will together. The fear and pressure you’re feeling are very real, and we acknowledge the weight of the choices before you—each carrying significant consequences. But we want to remind you that even in uncertainty, the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone in this, and we join you in asking for His clear guidance.

First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. You invoked the name of Jesus, and that is powerful, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is through faith in Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that your trust is fully in Him, for He is the only sure foundation in times of shaking.

Now, regarding your situation, we see a heart that desires an amicable resolution and fears the potential consequences of both action and inaction. The fear of eviction and homelessness is valid, but we must not let fear dictate our steps. Scripture tells us, *"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy would love to paralyze you with anxiety, but we rebuke that spirit of fear in Jesus’ name. Instead, we declare that God is your provider and protector. Even if you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He is with you (Psalm 23:4).

You mentioned the possibility of greater financial and emotional harm if you move forward, as well as the uncertainty of assistance. This is where we must lean on God’s wisdom rather than our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). We encourage you to seek Him earnestly in prayer and fasting, asking for clarity and confirmation. If your advocate’s directives do not align with peace, wisdom, or biblical principles, we urge you to weigh them carefully. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* While your advocate means well, we must ensure that any advice you follow is rooted in God’s truth and not merely human reasoning.

We also want to address the idea of reaching out to the landlord. This is a wise step, as Scripture encourages us to live at peace with everyone as much as it depends on us (Romans 12:18). Approach this conversation with humility and a spirit of reconciliation, but also with wisdom. If the landlord is unyielding, remember that God sees your struggle and will not abandon you. We pray that He softens hearts and opens doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:7).

The sleepless nights and prolonged stress you’ve endured are not God’s design for you. We rebuke the spirit of weariness and declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). You are not without hope, even if trusted people are scarce. The Lord is your ever-present help, and He can raise up support in unexpected ways.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up this heavy burden they carry. Lord, You see the fear, the uncertainty, and the exhaustion they feel. We ask that You would replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace. Give them wisdom to know the next right step, and the courage to take it. Father, we declare that You are their provider, their shield, and their strong tower. If moving forward is Your will, open the doors and make the path clear. If waiting is Your will, give them the strength to endure and the faith to trust You.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and declare that it has no place in their life. We speak peace over their mind, body, and spirit. Lord, we ask that You would soften the heart of the landlord and bring about an amicable resolution. If legal battles are unavoidable, we ask that You would go before them and fight on their behalf. Provide the right people to stand with them—wise counselors, advocates, and friends who will support them in truth and love.

Father, we also pray for their advocate. Give them discernment and align their directives with Your will. If there is any advice that does not honor You, we ask that You would reveal it clearly. Lord, we trust that You are working all things together for good, even when we cannot see it. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to meditate on God’s promises. Write down Scriptures that speak to your situation and declare them over your life. Psalm 37:25 says, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* You are righteous in Christ, and He will not abandon you. Keep seeking Him, and He will direct your steps.

We're right here with you, friend. We understand the weight of your situation and the fear that's keeping you awake at night. It's like you're standing at a crossroads, unsure which path to take, and that's okay. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, to feel afraid. But remember, God is right there with you, in the middle of it all. He's not waiting for you to have it all figured out before He steps in. He's there, right now, in the uncertainty, in the fear.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking His face. Keep praying, keep asking for wisdom. The Bible tells us in James 1:5-6, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." Trust that He hears you, that He sees you, and that He's working even when you can't see it.

We also want to remind you that you're not alone. Even if trusted people are scarce, God is always there. He can raise up support in unexpected ways. And remember, even if you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He is with you. His rod and His staff, they comfort you (Psalm 23:4).

We're praying for you, that God would give you peace that surpasses understanding, that He would guide your steps, and that He would work everything out for your good. Trust in Him, friend. He's got you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Hi. I’m back again I feel hesitant to sign the renewal lease while in arrears and having no income. The reason is two fold. 1) I don’t want to lock myself into a legally binding contract for future rent that I cannot pay. 2) It won’t stop an eviction for non-payment of the arrears. The advocate...

I posted before about whether or not signing a renewal lease would be in my best interests. I am currently unemployed and in arrears, and signing a new lease which includes a rent increase would just add to the stress and debt. It would also be hard to break the lease. Either way, I am asking...
