I am battling anxieties so bad. So many things has come about at work at the school where I work. I keep making so many mistakes. To the point my better judgement is so clouded. I was struggling so bad with the 2 year old classroom that it built up so many anxieties. I was in the office with administration everyday. I finally got into the infant room where I am the most comfortable. However, my anxieties have become so bad that my better judgement has been clouded. I went into that room and messed up. I had to be called into the office again by my supervisor's boss. At 11pm last night I received a written warning from an incident that took place from last Friday an email. My Supervisor has not found out about what happened after she left yesterday. I am so afraid. I battle with anxieties in general. I am struggling so bad that this cheapen the quality of life. Pray that God will extend grace at work.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this battle against fear and anxiety. The weight you carry is heavy, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The Lord sees your struggle and invites you to cast your burdens upon Him, for He cares deeply for you. "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). Your worth is not defined by your mistakes or the opinions of others, but by the love and grace of God, who calls you His own.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of your heart and mind. Scripture is clear: "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear does not come from God, and it has no place in the life of a believer. We command that spirit to leave you in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We also rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to convince you that you are failing or that your situation is hopeless. The enemy is a liar, and his goal is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly.

We must also address the root of your anxiety. While it is natural to feel concern over your job, the intensity of your fear suggests there may be deeper issues at play. Have you considered whether this anxiety is a result of placing your identity or security in your job rather than in Christ? Your job is a gift from God, but it is not your provider, He is. "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?" (Matthew 6:25-26). We encourage you to surrender your job, your reputation, and your future into God’s hands. Trust that He will guide you and provide for you, even in this uncertain season.

We also want to gently remind you that your struggles with anxiety may require more than prayer alone. Have you sought professional help, such as counseling or medical support? The Bible encourages us to care for our bodies and minds, as they are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). There is no shame in seeking help, and it may be the very tool God uses to bring healing and clarity to your mind. Additionally, consider whether there are practical steps you can take to reduce stress, such as setting boundaries, prioritizing self-care, or even exploring other job opportunities if this environment is toxic to your well-being.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is battling fear and anxiety. Lord, You see her heart, and You know the weight she carries. We ask that You would break the chains of fear that have bound her and replace them with Your perfect peace. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, who brings power, love, and a sound mind. Father, we declare that she is not a slave to fear, but a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Lord, we ask for Your grace to extend over her at work. Soften the hearts of her supervisors and grant her favor in their eyes. Give her clarity of mind and wisdom in her tasks so that she may perform her duties with excellence. If this job is not where You want her to be, we ask that You open doors to new opportunities that align with Your will for her life. Provide for her needs and remind her that You are her ultimate Provider.

Father, we also pray for healing in her mind and emotions. Calm the storms of anxiety that rage within her and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to fix her eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of her faith, rather than on her circumstances. Remind her that You are with her always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the One who has conquered fear and death. We declare that [Name] is more than a conqueror through Him who loved her (Romans 8:37). May she walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for her. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to meditate on God’s promises and to speak them over your life. Write down verses that bring you comfort and declare them aloud when fear tries to creep in. Surround yourself with believers who can pray for you and encourage you in your faith. Remember, "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). You are not alone, and with God, you are unstoppable.

We hear the exhaustion and fear woven through every line you wrote. When anxiety grows so loud it clouds your judgment and makes daily work feel dangerous, it’s easy to believe you are somehow uniquely failing -- but what you’re describing sounds less like a character flaw and more like an overwhelming anxiety disorder that has hijacked your nervous system. That’s an affliction, not an identity, and it’s far more common than you probably realize.

Right now the immediate weight is the written warning and the fear of what happens when your supervisor learns about the most recent incident. That is genuinely scary. We’re praying for every person in authority around you to have clear-eyed understanding rather than a punitive reflex, and for you to find enough calm to get through these next days without the anxiety spiraling further.

But the deeper need here is for the anxiety itself. When you say it cheapens the quality of your life, we take that seriously. This isn’t something you should have to white-knuckle alone. Strong, faithful believers often do their most significant growing in a counselor’s office -- not because prayer is insufficient, but because God regularly uses skilled professionals to untangle what we cannot sort out by willpower. A Christian therapist who shares your convictions can give you a confidential space to understand what’s happening in your body and mind, and a medical evaluation can rule out any physical contributors that fuel the panic. That’s not a step of defeat; it’s a step toward regaining ground.

You are not disposable, and a season of struggle does not erase the care and competence you’ve brought to those children before now. Please hold onto that.

We pray: Father, in Jesus’ name, quiet the storm inside this woman right now. Give her rest even while she waits for news. Grant her supervisors eyes that see her whole record, not just recent mistakes, and move in whatever way protects her livelihood. Most of all, lead her into genuine help and lasting relief, so her mind clears and her joy returns. Amen.

The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Yet this is not the place of judgment. God is very longsuffering, and His objective in sparing is to lead us to repentance and salvation, not to crush the trembling reed. You have been looking too much to the storm and too little to the God who finds a way for His grace to come to men. There is but one source of supply, and that source is God Himself. He gives grace, and He gives more grace. No little grace will He bestow, but endless grace, and boundless grace, and crown that grace with glory, too.

When you say your better judgment is clouded, remember that God is not amenable to our judgment. He gives no account of His matters. Job had uttered rash challenges, but when God revealed Himself, Job bowed his head and repented of all his suspicions and mistrusts. We are apt to judge the Lord by feeble sense instead of trusting Him for His divine grace. This appointed time of yours is a warfare, and many believers go from one loss to another, yet here they fulfill life’s design if through abundant grace they learn to bear their woes without a murmur and to wait without repining.

Do not think that every trouble is a judgment. Some people regard every accident so, but we do not agree with them at all, otherwise we would have to condemn the innocent. The Lord’s grace will come without human observation. If He plants in this wilderness the cedar and the myrtle in your soul, thousands will mark the working of His grace in your life. Value every part of that work because it came from God and leads to God. His gifts are solid gold and lasting treasure.

Some who have fallen as terribly as you have done have been restored by sovereign grace. The work of grace is the fountain of argument which establishes faith and justifies conduct. If the grace of God prevents your affliction from driving you into sin, then Satan is defeated. He did not care what Job suffered, so long as he could make him sin. In all this, sin not, let that be a part of the glory with which grace covers you. Bow in unreserved submission, for God permits trial knowing that His wisdom and grace have made us able to bear it. His sovereign grace is rich and free, and why, poor sinner, not for thee?

Consider the reality that God is present everywhere, seeing not only your actions but the very thoughts and intents of your heart. Why then do you fear your supervisor more than the Lord who stands beside you at every moment? That fear you feel when you enter the office, that anxiety about the written warning, those sleepless nights, they arise because you have forgotten that the judgment seat of Christ is before you, not merely the desk of an administrator. Stand in that holy fear and trembling, and you will find your earthly fears losing their grip.

But do not imagine I mean you should be paralyzed. For it is God who works in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure. When He calls you to the care of infants, He does not abandon you to your own strength. The very grace that saved you will also sustain you in that classroom, if you bring a resolute and unrelaxed mind, trusting that He supplies what you lack. The anxiety that clouds your judgment is like a wave, lifting you up and casting you down, whether in sorrow or in pleasure. But the mind fixed on Christ is stable, because it does not depend on the approval or censure of men.

Even if you have stumbled, do you not see that God permits these things to teach you humility and to wean you from reliance on yourself? When you suffer wrongfully or face consequences for your errors, receive it as from His hand, giving thanks. Did not the saints before you endure far worse? In that thankful suffering, you prove that you despise the world’s opinion and cling to God’s approval. And what is your work? It is no mere job but a calling like that of Adam before his sin, tending a garden in the presence of God with a pure conscience. Go into that infant room not as one laboring for a paycheck but as one serving Christ Himself. Great grace has been given you, and by that grace you are cleansed and made able to stand.

Do not therefore give way to despair, nor let your heart be overwhelmed. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, but let that fear be of God, not of man. Trust that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. I pray that He will quiet your anxious heart, restore your clarity of mind, and extend such grace toward you that even your supervisors are moved to patience. May He cause you to walk in that room with the confidence of a child before its Father, and in all things may you give thanks.
