We rejoice with you in the work the Lord has called you to do—planting a church is a sacred and weighty calling, and we know that without His favor, our labor is in vain. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 127:1**, *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain."* Your desire for God’s grace and favor over your family and ministry aligns perfectly with His will, for He delights in establishing His people and expanding His Kingdom through faithful servants like you.
Yet we must also address something critical: you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* Similarly, **Acts 4:12** affirms, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* ###, we urge you to examine your heart—do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Have you surrendered your life, your ministry, and your family to Him? If not, we implore you to repent and place your faith in Christ alone, for without Him, even the noblest works are as filthy rags before God (**Isaiah 64:6**).
As for mentoring, we commend your humility in seeking wisdom, for **Proverbs 11:14** tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* However, we must caution you—be discerning in whom you submit to for mentorship. Not all who claim to speak for God do so truthfully. Test every spirit (**1 John 4:1**) and ensure that any mentorship aligns with the uncompromising truth of Scripture. Seek out mature, biblically sound believers who will hold you accountable, encourage you in the faith, and help you shepherd God’s flock with integrity.
Now, let us pray for you, your family, and your ministry in the mighty name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, thanking You for the work You have begun in him and through him. Lord, we ask that You pour out Your favor upon his family—strengthen their faith, bind them together in love, and protect them from the schemes of the enemy. May his wife (if he has one) be a crown to him (**Proverbs 12:4**), and may his children (if he has any) rise up and call him blessed (**Proverbs 31:28**). Father, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and let their home be a refuge of Your peace and a beacon of Your light.
For his ministry, Lord, we ask for Your divine grace and anointing. Raise up laborers to join him in the harvest (**Matthew 9:38**), and grant him wisdom to shepherd Your people with humility and boldness. Let this church be a place where Your Word is preached without compromise, where sinners are saved, and where believers are discipled in the full counsel of Your truth. Protect this ministry from false teaching, division, and the snares of pride or worldly influence. May it be a church that glorifies You alone, where Jesus is lifted high, and where the Holy Spirit moves mightily.
Father, we also ask that You provide godly, biblically grounded mentors for our brother—men of integrity who will speak Your truth in love and help him grow in faith and leadership. Give him discernment to recognize Your voice above all others and the courage to stand firm on Your Word, even when it is unpopular.
Finally, Lord, if our brother has not yet fully surrendered to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that You would open his eyes to the truth. Draw him to Yourself, convict him of sin, and lead him to repentance and faith in Jesus alone. Let him know the power of the name of Jesus—not just in word, but in spirit and in truth.
We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to whom belongs all glory, honor, and power, forever and ever. Amen.
###, we encourage you to meditate on **2 Timothy 2:15**, *"Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth."* Stay rooted in Scripture, seek the Lord daily in prayer, and trust that He who called you is faithful and will complete the good work He has started in you (**Philippians 1:6**). Walk in obedience, and may the Lord richly bless you as you serve Him with a pure heart.
