Beloved of All
🤺 Favor, Protection, Gospel Advances in Our Local Areas, Jer 29:7, Lk 12:32 🙏 Father, thank You it is Your good pleasure to give us The Kingdom, Lk 12:32. We ask Your power & PROTECTION over our local areas, "But seek the welfare of the city where I have removed you, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare, peace and prosperity you will find yours as well," Jer 29:7. May The Holy Spirit Strengthen Police, Fire, city council, medical, marketplace & Pastors, convict those who are not saved but keep all safe --our neighbors, the local students, teachers, husbands, wives, the workers that come and go, the fishermen, basketball players, parents, pastors, law enforcement, security guards and local leaders -- convict us all of righteousness, sin and judgement to come, John 16:8. Father, draw us to Your Son, John 6:44. Graciously grant us the repentance that leads to life, Acts 11:17, and godly sorrow which brings repentance that leads to salvation, 2 Cor 7:5. Give saving faith in Jesus as a gift, Eph 2:8, by hearing the Word about believing on God's only begotten Son, John 3:16, and may faith come by hearing the word, Rom 10:17. Let us hear about Jesus Christ crucified, 1 Cor 2:2, who was made sin on our behalf, that we may be made the righteousness of God in Christ, 2 Cor 5:21. Grant a wall of fire around our area, protecting it from harm & evil influences, Zechariah 2:5, Ps 91:10-11, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:2-3. 🙌🏼 Thank you in Jesus' Name.

We join you in this faithful prayer for favor, protection, and the advance of the gospel in our local areas and we agree together before the Father in Jesus' name.

We love how you have anchored this prayer in the Word of God. What a comfort it is to remember Luke 12:32, Don't be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. And we take seriously the call of Jer 29:7, Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to Yahweh for it; for in its peace you will have peace. We are called to seek the welfare of the places where God has planted us, knowing that as the gospel flourishes and as peace is established, we all are blessed and God is glorified.

We also rejoice that you have prayed so clearly in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through faith in Him that we are saved. As it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we thank You that it is Your good pleasure to give us the Kingdom. We ask for Your power and protection over our local areas. We ask You to strengthen and guard our police, firefighters, city councils, medical workers, those in the marketplace, and our pastors. Keep safe our neighbors, students, teachers, husbands and wives, workers who come and go, fishermen, athletes, parents, law enforcement, security guards and all local leaders. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment as You promise in John 16:8, and that You would draw many to Your Son, for John 6:44 tells us, No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. Father, graciously grant repentance that leads to life as in Acts 11:18, and godly sorrow which produces repentance to salvation which brings no regret as in 2 Cor 7:10. Give the gift of saving faith, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Eph 2:8. Let faith come by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ, Rom 10:17, as people hear that God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life, John 3:16. May we hear and proclaim Jesus Christ, and him crucified, 1 Cor 2:2, for him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God, 2 Cor 5:21.

Father, be a wall of fire around our communities as You promise in Zech 2:5, For I, says Yahweh, will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the middle of her. We claim Your promise that no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, Ps 91:10-11. We echo the prayer of Jesus, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one, John 17:15, and we trust that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thess 3:3.

We ask for Your favor to open doors for the gospel in every neighborhood, school, workplace and home, that many would be saved and that Your Kingdom would advance for Your glory. We thank You for hearing us and we continue to seek You for the peace and prosperity of our cities, trusting You to protect and to save. We pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

We were encouraged by the breadth of your prayer for your town. You are carrying so many people before the Lord at once, neighbors and students, teachers and parents, pastors and city leaders, police and fire and medical workers, the people in shops and on teams and on the water. It is a beautiful picture of seeking the welfare of the place where God has put you.

That kind of prayer often grows even stronger when it stays close to the ground. A church is most helpful to its community simply by being present and available right where people live and work, willing to go to them and to meet needs in flexible, practical ways.

One way to keep this burden fresh this week might be to narrow it just a little each day. Choose one group you named, maybe one school, one shift of first responders, or one local congregation, and pray for them by name as you walk past or drive by. A brief note of thanks to a teacher, officer, or pastor can also open a door for the gospel to be heard in a natural way.

We are joining you in this.

Father, thank You for placing us in this community. We ask for Your protection over our streets and homes and for Your hand on those who serve our city each day. Work in hearts around us and draw many to know Jesus, and give us faithfulness to love our neighbors well and share Your hope as You give opportunity. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you with a hearty Amen in seeking the welfare of the city where the Lord has placed us, and in praying to the Lord on its behalf according to Jer 29:7, trusting the gracious promise of our Saviour that it is the Father's good pleasure to give us the Kingdom, Lk 12:32.

We entreat the Lord to set a wall of fire round about our local area, as He has promised in Zechariah 2:5, that no evil shall befall us nor any plague come nigh our dwelling, Ps 91:10-11, and that we may be kept from the evil one, John 17:15, and delivered from wicked and unreasonable men, for the Lord is faithful who shall stablish us and keep us from evil, 2 Thess 3:2-3. We ask His hand of protection upon all who dwell and labour among us, upon our neighbours, students and teachers, husbands and wives, parents and children, upon those who work in the marketplace, upon the fishermen and the basketball players, upon medical workers, police and fire, security guards and law enforcement, city council and local leaders, and upon faithful pastors who preach the Word.

And above all we pray that the glorious light of the Gospel of Christ may dawn upon this place. The Gospel is in itself most plain and clear, simplicity itself, that Christ was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him, 2 Cor 5:21, that Jesus Christ and Him crucified, 1 Cor 2:2, is set forth as the only Saviour of sinners. We pray that it may not be hid from any by the blinding of the god of this world, but that the Holy Spirit may convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment to come, John 16:8. Father, draw sinners to Thy Son, for no man can come except Thou draw him, John 6:44. Grant that godly sorrow which worketh repentance to salvation, 2 Cor 7:10, even that repentance which leadeth to life, Acts 11:18, and give saving faith as Thy free gift, Eph 2:8, through hearing the Word of God, Rom 10:17, that whosoever believeth in Thine only begotten Son should not perish but have everlasting life, John 3:16.

We pray that the Lord would strengthen those who labour in the Gospel, that they may with holy lives and happy hearts adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour, and with plain testimony proclaim Christ everywhere, for it is our absolute duty and eminent privilege to make known the Gospel to every creature. Let Thy Word not return void, but accomplish that which Thou pleasest and prosper in the thing whereto Thou hast sent it.

So we ask, not in our own merit, but in the name and blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is the way of salvation, that He would be exalted in our streets and homes, and that many may be turned from darkness to light. Amen.
