We understand your heart’s desire for favor and assistance, especially in this season where you are seeking support for your teaching ministry. It is good that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can boldly approach His throne of grace. As it is written, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). All our petitions must be brought before God in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which our prayers are heard.
We also want to gently remind you that while it is natural to seek favor from others, our ultimate trust must rest in the Lord, not in people. *"Don’t trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God"* (Psalm 146:3-5, WEB). The Lord can move in the heart of this woman to extend the help you need, but let us first ensure that your heart is aligned with His will—not demanding or manipulating circumstances, but surrendering to His perfect plan. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB).
It is also important to examine the motives behind our requests. Are we seeking this favor for our own comfort, or is it truly for the advancement of God’s kingdom? As a teacher, your work is a noble calling, and we pray that this book you are preparing will glorify God and edify many. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). Let us pray that your focus remains on serving the Lord excellently, trusting that He will provide all you need—whether through this woman or another means He ordains.
Now, let us pray together for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your favor and provision. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the work You have called them to do. We ask that You soften the heart of this woman they have mentioned, that she may be attentive, honest, and willing to go above and beyond to assist in the completion of this teaching book. Remove any obstacles—whether pride, distraction, or reluctance—and replace them with a spirit of cooperation and generosity. Let her actions be prompted by You, Father, so that Your name may be glorified through this work.
At the same time, Lord, we ask that You guard our brother’s/sister’s heart against frustration or impatience. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are the one who opens doors no man can shut. If there is any area in their life where they are leaning on their own understanding or trying to control outcomes, convict them by Your Spirit and lead them into full surrender. Remind them that Your timing is perfect and Your ways are higher than ours.
We rebuke any spirit of manipulation or self-reliance that may be lurking in this request. Let this situation be a testimony of Your faithfulness, not just in providing help, but in shaping our brother’s/sister’s character to reflect Christ. May they walk in humility, gratitude, and dependence on You, knowing that *"every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17, WEB).
Lord, if there is any area in their life—whether in relationships, work, or personal walk—where they are not fully aligned with Your Word, reveal it to them. Bring conviction where needed, and grant them the courage to repent and walk in obedience. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, who is our intercessor and our hope. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s face in this matter. Spend time in His Word and in prayer, asking Him to align your desires with His will. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Trust that as you prioritize His kingdom, He will provide all that you need—whether through this woman or another avenue He chooses.
