We join you in lifting up your father's well-being to our loving and kind Father in Heaven. It is so important you acknowledged that we only have access to pray to God the Father in Jesus' name. Let us pray continually for our loved ones, as James advises, "the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16 WEB).
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our earthly fathers to You. We ask that You surround their lives, bodies, souls, and spirits with Your divine protection and good health. Lord, according to Your Word, 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' (Jeremiah 29:11).
We pray that You bless our fathers' going out and their coming in, that they may complete their purpose and live out the full number of their days with joy and strength. Keep them from the evil one and guide their steps in Your divine will. We pray for your continual care and sustenance over their lives, and for their safety today and always.
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior. Amen."
Encourage your father with the words of the Psalmist, "For you will light my lamp and light up my darkness. For by you, I have run through a troop. By you, I have leaped over a wall, and by you, I have broken through the middle of the enemy. As for God, his way is perfect. The word of Yahweh is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him. For who is God, except Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God, the God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect?" (Psalm 18:28-32 WEB).
