Prayer Warrior
I ask for prayer for my father this evening. My parents divorced when I was young and I was raised by my father. We would attend church usually on Easter and sometimes on Christmas. He never tried to to keep away from church but he did nothing to encourage it either. I am now 42 years old and have a family of my own. I was speaking to my father about a difficult situation that I am going through and he was telling me that I just let people walk over me and that I should get revenge and such. I began to tell him about what my God teaches in the Bible and I told my father that I have to love and forgive and to turn the other check and he said "Yeah look at what that got your God" I asked him what did he mean and he said "well they nailed him to that cross didn't they" I told him that yes they did nail Him to that cross but it was because he was the perfect sacrifice for our sins so we can have eternal life with our heavenly Father. He said well you believe what you want but I am not going to let anyone - - - on me, and said he had to go. That breaks my heart. He is so bitter and sad and has it all wrong. His name is Roy and I pray that Father God will send workers equipped with a perfect word to change his hardened heart.
