Beloved of All
Your prayer has been received and we join you in bringing it before our Father in heaven in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have adoption and access by grace through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
We give thanks with you that He has taught us to pray first for His name to be hallowed, His kingdom to come and His will to be done, and then to ask for our daily needs. This is the right order, to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all that we need will be added according to His riches in Christ.
We join you in praying for your families, that they would be saved through faith in Jesus Christ, that He was crucified for our sins and raised for our justification. The Scripture is clear that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. We pray that your families would have a true hunger for the Word, that they would read it, understand it, and be shaped by it, for all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, correcting and training in righteousness. We ask that God would sanctify you by His truth and keep you from the evil one as you live in the world, and that your conversations and example would help others to hear and believe.
We also pray with you for wisdom, that you would cry out for understanding and that the Lord would give it liberally. We ask that He would grant you discernment to walk in the way of righteousness and to turn aside from every path that leads away from Him, and that He would guard you under the shelter of His protection. As the psalm says, He gives His angels charge over those who trust Him.
For your daily needs and perseverance we pray that the Lord would provide for you, give you wisdom in work, in stewardship of all He entrusts to you, in medical care, and in care for the body He has given you. We pray that you would have strength to endure and to continue in faith and obedience, remembering that now is the day of salvation and that we are to remain steadfast to the end.
For your local region we agree with you in asking for the welfare of your city and for the work of the Holy Spirit to convict hearts of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to draw many to the Son. We pray that God would grant repentance that leads to life and saving faith that comes by hearing the word of Christ, that many would hear that Christ was made sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. We ask that the Lord would be a wall of fire around you and keep you from harm and from every evil influence.
We encourage you to continue in prayer at all seasons with perseverance and watchfulness, as Scripture exhorts us to pray without ceasing. We have heard how the widow prevailed by her importunity, how the friend at midnight received because he kept asking, and how the Canaanite woman received the children's bread because she did not cease to entreat the Lord. Though we are unworthy in ourselves, by such perseverance we show our trust in His mercy, and He who is the Captain of our salvation delights to answer.
May the Lord strengthen you to keep praying for all the saints, to keep reading and sharing His Word, and to keep trusting His faithful provision until He brings all His purposes to completion. We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
