We join you in this beautiful and biblically grounded cry for the Father's glory and for His will to be done first, and we rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have access to the Father.
We agree with you that by grace we have been made children of God, not by our works but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:5, whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life, Titus 3:7, and because we are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6. How precious that we can now pray as Jesus taught us, Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matt 6:9-10, and as we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, all these things will be given to us as well, Matt 6:33.
We lift up your families with you, and we pray that the Lord will fulfill His promise that if we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, we will be saved, we and our household, Acts 16:31. We ask the Father to give your families understanding of His will through His Word, for the sum of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous ordinances endures forever, Ps 119:160. We pray that from childhood and in every season you would continue in the Holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15, and that all Scripture, being inspired by God, would be profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 2 Tim 3:16, so that you may be complete and equipped for every good work. We pray you will not be taken out of the world but kept from the evil one, John 17:15, and sanctified in the truth, for Your word is truth, John 17:17. We ask that as newborn babies you will long for the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby, 1 Pet 2:2, and that you will have grace to use your Bibles, whether apps or printed pages, to read, understand, model and teach it in godly conversations with family and friends, with softened hearts that hunger for Him.
We cry out with you for wisdom, for if we cry for discernment and lift our voice for understanding, if we seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures, then we will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God, Prov 2:3-5. For the Lord gives wisdom, out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding, Prov 2:6, He lays up sound wisdom for the upright and is a shield to those who walk in integrity, Prov 2:7, that He may guard the paths of justice and preserve the way of His saints, Prov 2:8. Then we will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path, Prov 2:9, for wisdom will enter into our hearts and knowledge will be pleasant to our souls, Prov 2:10, and discretion will watch over us and understanding will keep us, Prov 2:11, to deliver us from the way of evil, Prov 2:12. We thank the Father with you for His angelic protection, for He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, Ps 91:11, and we remember that angels are all ministering spirits sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation, Heb 1:14, and that because we have made the Most High our dwelling, no evil shall happen to us, neither shall any plague come near our dwelling, Ps 91:9-10.
We bring your needs for finances, perseverance, health and daily stewardship before the throne. We pray that our God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:19, and that He will give you faith and diligence to look for work, whether remote or in person, with provision and benefits, and to steward every gift, whether wages, partial windfalls, or monthly support, with wisdom and fiscal faithfulness, for the faithful steward will be entrusted with more. We pray for wisdom in medical care and for the operations you need, for your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we ask for grace to care for them, to eat with self control, to be faithful in bodily exercise, for bodily exercise has value, but godliness has value in all things, 1 Tim 4:8, and to endure to the end, for he who endures to the end will be saved, Matt 24:13, remembering the call to be faithful even to death, Rev 2:10, and the promise that because we have kept the word of His patience, He will keep us, Rev 3:10.
We stand with you for your local regions, and we pray as the Lord commanded, to seek the peace of the city where He has placed us, and pray to the Lord for it, for in its peace we will have peace, Jer 29:7. We ask the Holy Spirit to convict the world concerning sin, concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment, John 16:8, over every neighbor, student, teacher, husband and wife, worker, fisherman, athlete, parent, pastor, law enforcement officer and local leader. No one can come to Jesus unless the Father who sent Him draws him, John 6:44, so we ask the Father to grant repentance that leads to life, Acts 11:18, and godly sorrow that produces repentance leading to salvation, 2 Cor 7:10. We pray that saving faith, which is the gift of God, Eph 2:8, will come by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ, Rom 10:17, as the gospel of John 3:16 is proclaimed, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life, and as Jesus Christ and Him crucified is lifted up, 1 Cor 2:2, who was made to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God, 2 Cor 5:21. We pray for a wall of fire around you and around your communities, for the Lord declares, I will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the middle of her, Zech 2:5, and that He will give His angels charge over you and deliver you from the evil one, 2 Thess 3:3, keeping you from evil, John 17:15.
Father, we hallow Your name, we welcome Your Kingdom and Your will in our lives, our families, our finances, our bodies and our cities, and we trust You for our daily bread in Jesus' name, amen.
