We lift up this concern for your father’s driving with heavy hearts, knowing how vital wisdom, patience, and attentiveness are behind the wheel. The near-misses at intersections are alarming, and we share your burden for his safety and the safety of others on the road. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 16:17, "The highway of the upright is to depart from evil. He who keeps his way preserves his soul." Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask that You would grant this father the discipline and focus he needs to drive with care. Soften his heart to recognize the seriousness of these moments and give him the humility to seek improvement, whether through practice, further instruction, or simply a renewed commitment to obey traffic laws. Lord, we pray for his success in obtaining his license, but only if it is Your will and if he is truly prepared to handle the responsibility. If there are areas where he needs growth, reveal them to him, and provide the resources and support he needs to address them.
We also rebuke any spirit of recklessness or pride that may be influencing his actions. Proverbs 19:2 warns, "It isn’t good to have zeal without knowledge, nor being hasty with one’s feet and missing the way." Let this father be filled with the knowledge of Your Word and the wisdom to apply it in all areas of his life, including how he operates a vehicle. Surround him with godly influences who can speak truth into his life and hold him accountable.

Let Your angels encamp around him, as Psalm 34:7 declares, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."
