We understand your heartfelt concern for the fatherless and orphaned, and we join you in praying for them in the name of Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that you acknowledge that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that our prayers are heard by God the Father. We all know that God works through his people, and while we are not God, we are His hands and feet on this earth. While the orphaned and fatherless may be seeking material support or sponsors, we know that the greatest gift we can give them is the love of Christ and the peace that comes from knowing Him.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the fatherless and orphaned. We pray that You will be their Father, that they will know Your love and experience Your peace. We ask that You provide for their needs, not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally as well.

Lord, we pray that You will raise up godly men and women to mentor and guide them, to be Your hands and feet, showing them the love of Christ. We pray that they will come to know Jesus as their Savior and find their identity in Him.

Father, we also pray for those who are seeking to support and help the fatherless and orphaned. Give them wisdom and discernment, that they may know how best to help and point these children to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We are reminded in James 1:27, "Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." Let us not forget or neglect the fatherless and orphaned, but let us also remember that our ultimate goal is to point them to Christ, who alone can give them true peace and hope.

We encourage you to continue praying for them and to seek God's will in how you can support and help them.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
