We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your father and the deep spiritual battles you both are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the powers of darkness. We rebuke every demonic influence in your father’s life in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word declares, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that abundance of life over your father and over you, breaking every chain of confusion, fear, and oppression.
Your father’s past involvement in Catholicism and voodoo has opened doors to spiritual deception, but we pray for a revelation of the true Gospel to pierce his heart. The Bible warns, *"You can’t drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons"* (1 Corinthians 10:21 WEB). We pray for repentance and a turning away from any ungodly spiritual influences, that he may fully embrace the freedom found only in Christ. We also rebuke the generational strongholds that may have been passed down, for *"the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil"* (1 John 3:8 WEB).
For you, dear one, we recognize the weariness of years of spiritual warfare, especially after your time in the occult. We stand with you in the truth that *"though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:3-4 WEB). You are not fighting alone—God’s angels are encamped around you, and His power is greater than any force of darkness. We pray for your strength, your discernment, and your unwavering trust in the Lord. The enemy may have sought to use your past against you, but God is turning it for your good, for *"if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB).
We also address the pain of the enemy using your father to hurt you, particularly in moments of joy. This is a tactic of the devil to rob you of the peace and celebration that God intends for you. We rebuke this spirit of division and strife, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We pray for healing in your relationship with your father, not by your own strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. May God’s love break through every barrier, and may you both experience the freedom that comes from walking in truth.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names. We lift up this dear one and her father, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, we rebuke every demonic influence in their lives, breaking every chain of confusion, fear, and oppression. We declare Your truth over them—that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Father, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon them both, that they may know You more deeply and walk in the freedom Christ died to give them.
Lord, we pray for the father’s heart to be softened and for any ungodly spiritual ties to be severed. Reveal to him the deception he has walked in and draw him into a true relationship with You. For this dear one, we ask for Your healing and restoration. Strengthen her in the inner man, that she may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Surround her with Your angels and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Father, we also pray for protection over her joy and her life. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37 WEB). May she find her rest and her strength in You alone.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We trust in Your promises and Your power to bring breakthrough. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He is fighting for you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Spend time in His Word, in worship, and in prayer, for these are your spiritual weapons. You are not alone, and the victory is already yours in Christ.
