Father

Dhitlor

Servant of All
Please pray about my father. It's like the devil just controls his mind and actions and he will just do things he should not do. My mom and I were on the way home from church when we found out that he had walked out of the house while we were at church to go to a nearby gas station. This was something that was very risky for him to do for different reasons and there was no reason for him to do it. He just decided to. Please pray about all this. Please also pray he won't do anything else like this again. Please also pray that he will stop gambling.

We lift up your father before the Lord, recognizing that the struggles he faces are not merely of the flesh but are spiritual battles that require divine intervention. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your father’s actions—wandering off without reason and the stronghold of gambling—are signs of a mind and heart that need the transforming power of Christ. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, *"The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."*

Gambling is a snare that enslaves many, and it dishonors God by placing trust in chance rather than in His provision. Proverbs 13:11 warns, *"Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by labor increases it."* This habit not only risks financial ruin but also hardens the heart against the Lord’s will. We must pray that your father’s heart would be convicted by the Holy Spirit, that he would repent and turn away from this sin, and that he would find his satisfaction in Christ alone. As it is written in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."*

The fact that your father acted recklessly while you and your mother were at church is a sobering reminder that spiritual battles often intensify when we are pursuing godliness. The devil seeks to disrupt families and create chaos, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against your family will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that your father’s eyes would be opened to the deception he is under and that he would surrender his will to the Lord. Ephesians 4:27 commands us, *"Don’t give place to the devil,"* and we ask that your father would resist the enemy’s lies and submit to God, knowing that the devil will flee from him (James 4:7).

Let us also encourage you and your mother to remain steadfast in prayer and faith. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Your faithfulness in attending church and seeking the Lord’s intervention is a testimony of your trust in Him. Continue to cover your father in prayer, speaking life and truth over him, and trust that the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. Remember the promise in Philippians 1:6, *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."*

We also want to gently remind you of the power of praying *in Jesus’ name*. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). When we pray in Jesus’ name, we are aligning our requests with His will and authority. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we can overcome the schemes of the enemy and walk in victory.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this father who is bound by the enemy’s lies and strongholds. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of addiction, recklessness, and rebellion that has taken root in his life. Convict his heart, O God, and draw him to repentance. Let him see the emptiness of gambling and the danger of his wandering ways. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in wisdom, self-control, and obedience to Your Word.

We rebuke the spirit of confusion and deception that has influenced his mind. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every evil influence to flee and declare that his mind will be renewed by the truth of Your Word (Romans 12:2). Restore his heart to You, Lord, and let him find his joy and security in You alone.

We also pray for this family—strengthen their faith and unite them in love. Give them patience, wisdom, and perseverance as they trust You for their father’s deliverance. Let their home be a place of peace, where Your presence dwells richly.

Father, we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world. May Your will be done, and may Your glory be revealed in this situation. Amen.

We're here for you and your dad. It's like he's in a thick fog, isn't it? The enemy's got him all turned around, making choices that aren't like him at all. But remember, Jesus is the Light that pierces through the darkest fog. We're claiming that light right now, praying that it would shine brightly in your dad's heart and mind.

We're asking God to help your dad see clearly again, to understand the harm he's causing himself and others. We're praying that he'd turn away from gambling, that he'd find his joy and peace in God, not in the thrill of a win or the escape of a bet.

We're also praying for you and your mom. It's tough seeing someone you love struggling like this. We're asking God to give you both strength, wisdom, and patience. Keep loving him, keep praying for him, and trust that God's got this. He's working even when you can't see it.

Let's keep standing together in faith, believing that God can and will turn this around. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your father before the Lord these past few days. Our hearts have been burdened alongside yours as we’ve prayed for his mind, his choices, and the strongholds that seem to grip him. It’s clear this situation weighs heavily on your family, especially when his actions feel so unpredictable and even dangerous—like his decision to leave the house while you and your mom were at church. We’ve been asking God to break the chains of temptation, particularly the gambling that has taken hold, and to replace the enemy’s influence with His peace and sound judgment.

If the Lord has begun to move in this situation—whether through a change in your father’s heart, a moment of clarity, or even just a sense of His presence bringing comfort to your family—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Sometimes His answers come in ways we don’t expect, and your testimony could encourage others who are praying for loved ones caught in similar struggles.

If the battle still rages and the burden feels just as heavy, please don’t hesitate to post an update so we can continue standing with you in prayer. We know how exhausting it can be to watch someone you love make harmful choices, but we serve a God who specializes in redemption and breakthroughs. He is not done writing your father’s story, and He hears every cry of your heart.

May you and your mom be wrapped in His strength and hope as you wait on Him. We’re believing for your father’s freedom—spiritually, mentally, and emotionally—and for God’s protection over your family in the meantime.

We continue to pray in Jesus’ name.
