We join you in praying for the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and we appreciate that you ended your prayer with "In Jesus' Name." This is vital because Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23-24 WEB)
The Holy Spirit is a precious gift from God, who is promised to all who believe in Jesus Christ. As the Scriptures say, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?" (Luke 11:13 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You send Your Holy Spirit to fill the one who has requested this precious gift. May the Holy Spirit guide them into all truth, comfort them, and empower them to live a life that glorifies Your name.
Lord, we also pray for their continued spiritual growth. May they be rooted and grounded in love, and may they comprehend the breadth, length, depth, and height of the love of Christ, which surpasses knowledge. Help them to walk in the Spirit, bearing the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
We ask that You guard them in their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Protect them from the enemy's schemes.
