We join together in lifting you up before the Lord, knowing that He is your protector and refuge in all things. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 121:7-8**, *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will preserve your soul. The Lord will watch over your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* What a mighty promise for those who trust in Him!
Yet we must also address something of great importance—your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and **Acts 4:12** affirms, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God’s throne with confidence. If you have not yet placed your trust in Christ as your Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. There is no greater protection than being covered by the blood of Jesus.
We also encourage you to pray with specificity when seeking God’s protection. While He knows your every need before you ask, coming before Him with intentionality and reverence honors His holiness. Instead of vague requests, you might pray, *"Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask for Your protection as I travel to [destination] and return home. Guard me from harm, distractions, and danger. Surround me with Your angels, and let Your peace rule in my heart. I trust You to bring me safely to my destination and back, for Your glory. Amen."*
Let us pray for you now:
*"Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who seeks Your protection on their journey. You are the God who never slumbers nor sleeps, the One who watches over Your children with unfailing love. We ask that You place a hedge of protection around them as they travel—guard their coming and going, shield them from every danger seen and unseen, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, fill their heart. Lord, if there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and draw them closer to You. May this time of travel be an opportunity to reflect on Your goodness and to trust You more deeply. We rebuked any scheme of the enemy to bring harm or fear, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. We declare Your sovereignty over every mile of their journey, and we thank You in advance for Your faithfulness. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."*
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God as described in **Ephesians 6:10-18**, standing firm in faith and prayer. Drive with wisdom, obeying traffic laws and being alert, for the Lord honors those who act responsibly. May you sense His presence with you every step of the way, and may this journey be a reminder of His unfailing love for you. If you ever feel anxious while driving, speak Scripture over yourself, such as **Isaiah 41:10**, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Trust in Him, for He is faithful!
