Father please put a guard over my husbands mouth . Let him think before he speaks .
Our son has just announced his engagement to a lovely girl . She is the type of girl I have prayed he would find . Lord thank you for answered prayer .
Father I pray my husband wont put his foot in it .
He has already started gushing over the girl , and while we all love her , his responses to her and about her are way over the top , almost at my sons expense .
PLease Lord put a sock in it for him . I have tried to talk to him about his silly comments and tasteless jokes but he just does not get it . I feel as though he is almost devaluing his own son while he gushes endlessly about this girl .
Its embarrassing .
Lord I don't know how else to pray this prayer .
We adore this lovely girl he has chosen to marry , but my husband needs to be balanced in his comments . PLease let him be guided , as what is appropriate and what isn't . This dear girl is from an ethnic background as well so he needs to be mindful of over valuing or devaluing anybody, with his frequently thoughtless statements . He does not deliberately intend this , but this is how it can be received . Father I pray when we meet the parents in law in the next few days that all will go well .
