Father I thank you for each and everyday. Lord I pray this new year will bring your joy and your peace. It will be a busy year Lord with big moves and big changes in the lives of some family members. Father I ask for your wisdom and your strength. Important decisions will have to be made, and a lot of physical labour intensive activity will be taking place. I ask Lord it will be a period of fuss free, stress free, time. Please be with us all. And Lord I pray for my son who is ### years of age and still single. Lord his father and I would like to see him married and settled with a loving Christian wife and a home and family of his own. He is a good man who is disciplined and responsible in every way and is ready to buy his own home now. Lord he needs a good girl to share his life with. Father I ask that this year will be the year he meets his life's mate. Guide his footsteps Lord and bring this desire we all have for him to pass. I know he wants it for himself too. I thank you Lord that you know our needs and our desires and that we can come to you in prayer expressing them, and asking for them. Father you know I have never prayed much for my son. It's just that he has been so good. he has been a blessing indeed to us for he has never given us a day's worry.

My prayers have centered around our daughter who has suffered severe depression and social isolation. I have neglected to thank you for a child that has never caused stress or anxiety or worry and that's my son. Father as parents we love all our children, and perhaps some need more prayer than others. Lord I thank you for the way in which my daughter is slowly coming together again. and I thank you for my son who has been a source of comfort and support for me. I especially commit him to you this day in prayer. Protect him always and give him a wife who loves you as he does, and will want to share her life with him. Thank you father for the way in which you have helped me all my life and for the fact you have always been there with me during past trials and challenges. Thank you for taking care of my children Father I pray you will always be a light for my path and a lamp unto my feet. Thank you precious saviour, in Jesus name I pray amen.

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit.
