Father, I pray for the sick among us, those whom medicine has failed, those whose only hope remains in your compassion and power. You may or may not choose to heal those I lift up to you, but I know you have the power, if healing is in your will. I ask you to cleanse their soul as well as their bodies, to keep them strong in the faith no matter what befalls them, and to be a source of comfort to those who love them. Stand by them all in their time of suffering, wrap them in your arms of love, and if you choose, heal their bodies. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ my lord, amen.
