Father i pray for my car to pass the smog or show me where to afford
We join you in bringing these practical and heartfelt needs before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, and we thank you for praying in His name for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is in His name we are saved and heard, as it is written Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.
We know our Father cares about every detail of our lives, both great and small, and He invites us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us, 1 Peter 5:7. Your car, your finances, and the gifts of music you desire to steward are not too small for Him.
We pray together for your car and the smog test. We ask the Lord to provide clearly for you, whether by allowing the car to pass, by showing you an honest and affordable place for repair, or by making a way where there seems to be no way. We pray for wisdom and favor and for provision, trusting His promise that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. We also remember the call to seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33, trusting that as we put Him first He will guide our steps in practical matters and help us be good stewards of what He has entrusted to us.
We also lift up your desire to sing better and to understand the guitar and banjo more deeply, and your request for a one to one coach. We thank God that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, James 1:17, and that He gives gifts to each of us to be used for His glory. We pray that the Lord will bring the right teacher into your life at the right time and at a cost you can afford, someone who can encourage you and help you grow in skill with patience and godly character. We pray that you would grow in diligence and joy as you practice, remembering that whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23.
We encourage you to use these musical gifts to praise Him, for we are told to sing to him a new song, play skillfully with a shout of joy, Psalm 33:3. Whether in private worship, with other believers, or to encourage others, may your singing and playing be an offering to the Lord. Continue to be faithful in small steps of practice and prayer, and trust God to open doors for teaching and growth in His timing.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His gracious provision.
We have heard your petition concerning your car and the trial of the smog test, and your desire to afford what is needed, and also your longing to sing better and to understand the guitar and banjo, with a coach to guide you. These are not small things to our Father, for He cares for the daily wants of His children as well as the music of their souls.
We are reminded that even in poverty or in straitness, God makes His children very glad, and so cheers their hearts in the cottage that they scarce know whether it be a palace or a hovel, for He sends sweet music into the soul that trusts Him. And we know that He is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord will provide. As has been preached, what a suitable and effectual provision He has made in Christ, and with infinite foreknowledge He has foreseen your case and your need. There is provision there to save you and to sustain you in every lawful undertaking.
Concerning holy music, the Scripture prescribes thankfulness unto God the Father by Christ, and the best music of a Christian consists in thankfulness to God. Soldiers march best when enlivened by music, and so the believer works and sings best when his heart is tuned to gratitude. To desire to sing and to play skillfully is a good desire when it is offered back to the Lord in holy service, mingling holy music with holy walking, doing all in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Teach the hands to play and the voice to sing with thankfulness, that all may be done in the name of the Lord Jesus.
