We hear the deep distress and desperation in your cry to the Father, and we join you in lifting this burden before His throne, for He alone is the God of justice, deliverance, and peace. You have come before Him in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, and that is where our authority and hope lie. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Though your spirit is weary, take heart—God sees your affliction, and He will act on behalf of His child.
The situation you describe is one of great turmoil, where deception, harassment, and the strongholds of alcohol and manipulation have taken root. This man’s actions are not only causing you harm but are also ensnaring him in sin, and we must pray for both deliverance for you and conviction for him. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us, *"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* The lies, false accusations, and schemes against your landlord are an abomination before the Lord, and we stand with you in rebuking these works of darkness.
Yet we must also remember that this man is trapped in bondage—bondage to alcohol, to deceit, and to a lifestyle that is destroying him and those around him. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* While we rebuke the spiritual forces at work, we also pray that this man would encounter the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. His wife, too, is caught in the crossfire of his choices, and we lift her up, asking God to move in their lives in a way that leads to repentance and restoration.
As for you, beloved, we encourage you to stand firm in the authority of Christ. James 4:7 declares, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* You have already begun this resistance through prayer, and we add our voices to yours, binding every scheme of the enemy in this situation. We pray that the Lord would expose every lie, frustrate every plan of harassment, and bring this man’s accusations to nothing. May the landlord be vindicated, and may you dwell in peace within your home, free from the chaos this man has brought.
We also urge you to seek wisdom in how to practically navigate this season. If this man’s actions are causing legal or safety concerns, it may be necessary to involve authorities or seek counsel from your church leadership. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Do not walk this path alone—allow the body of Christ to support and guide you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the name above all names. We thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your children. Lord, we lift up our sister who is crying out to You in her distress. You know the depth of her weariness, the frustration of her heart, and the desperation she feels. Father, we ask that You would move mightily in this situation.
We bind every spirit of deception, manipulation, and harassment that has taken root in this man’s life and in this home. Lord, expose every lie and false accusation. Frustrate his plans to cause confusion and harm. Let his schemes come to nothing, and let Your truth prevail. We pray that any legal actions he intends would be dismissed, that his words would carry no weight, and that Your justice would be made manifest.
Father, we also pray for this man’s soul. He is trapped in bondage to alcohol and to a lifestyle of deceit. Lord, break the chains that hold him. Convict his heart of his sin, and draw him to repentance. We pray for his wife, that You would give her wisdom, strength, and the courage to act in a way that honors You. If it is Your will, Lord, remove this man from our sister’s home—send him far away, and let Your peace reign in her dwelling place.
Grant our sister supernatural endurance and protection. Guard her heart from bitterness and fear. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give her wisdom in how to respond, and surround her with godly counsel and support.
Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, peace, and victory over her home. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified in this situation. We ask all these things in the powerful and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Stand firm, dear sister. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Trust in Him, and do not lose heart. He will fight for you; you need only be still (Exodus 14:14). Keep praying, keep seeking His face, and know that we are standing with you in this battle. The victory is already won in Christ Jesus.
