We rejoice with you in the healing that your father has already experienced by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is a testimony to God’s power and mercy that he has brought your father this far, and we stand in faith that He who began this good work will complete it. The Word of God declares in **Jeremiah 30:17**, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh;"* and in **James 5:15**, *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We claim these promises over your father’s life, trusting that God’s will is perfect healing and restoration.
It is beautiful to see your faith in Jesus’ healing power, and we join you in lifting this request before the throne of grace. However, we must also remind you that while we pray for complete healing, we trust in God’s sovereign will—whether that means immediate physical healing or the strength and grace to endure treatment. **Romans 8:28** assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* Even in this season of waiting, God is working for your father’s ultimate good and His glory.
We also encourage you to continue placing your father under the protection of the Most High, as you’ve requested. **Psalm 91:4** says, *"He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."* There is no safer place than in the shadow of Almighty God, and we pray that your father would rest in that truth, free from fear or anxiety.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the healing You have already brought to this father’s life. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask that You complete the work You have begun. Tomorrow, as he undergoes the PET scan, we pray that the results would bring glory to Your name—may there be no trace of cancer, no tumors, and no need for further medication. Let the report declare, *"No evidence of disease,"* for Your Word says in **Exodus 15:26**, *"I am Yahweh who heals you."*
Lord, we ask that You protect him under Your mighty wings, shielding him from every harm and fear. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let him know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You are with him. If there is any lingering doubt or anxiety in his heart, replace it with faith in Your promises. Strengthen his body, renew his mind, and let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness to all who witness it.
We also pray for the medical team involved in his care. Give them wisdom, discernment, and skill as they review the results. May they be instruments of Your healing power, and may they see Your hand at work in his life.
Father, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, and so we place this request in Your hands, trusting in Your perfect will. If there is any area in his life—spiritually, emotionally, or physically—that needs surrender or repentance, reveal it to him and draw him closer to You. Let this trial be a refining fire that deepens his faith and dependence on You.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains on the cross. May Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
