We join with you in lifting up your heartfelt cry to our Heavenly Father, and we praise Him that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith, even in declaring yourself the chief of sinners, echoes the apostle Paul’s words: *"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief"* (1 Timothy 1:15, WEB). What a beautiful reminder that our Lord does not forget His own—He is faithful even when we feel unworthy.
Halloween is a time when darkness is often celebrated, and the enemy seeks to stir fear and confusion. But we serve a God who is greater than any scheme of the devil. *"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). His angels are indeed ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), and we trust that He is dispatching them to surround you with His protection and peace.
As for your enemies, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). While it is natural to cry out for protection from those who seek harm, we are also called to pray for our enemies and bless those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we ignore their evil deeds, but we trust God to handle them in His justice and mercy. *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). Let us pray that if there are those who oppose you, the Lord would either turn their hearts toward repentance or render their plans powerless. His justice is perfect, and His timing is flawless.
We also gently remind you that while you may feel like the chief of sinners, your identity in Christ is not defined by your past or your struggles but by His redemption. *"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB). If there are areas of sin or strongholds in your life, we encourage you to bring them before the Lord in repentance, trusting in His power to cleanse and restore you. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious soul who has come before You in humility and faith. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your heavenly host, that Your angels would encamp around them, guarding them from every evil scheme and every work of darkness. Fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, or oppression in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that Your light exposes and scatters all darkness.
Father, we also lift up those who may seek to harm Your child. If there is any bitterness, hatred, or malice in their hearts, we ask that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Soften their hearts toward repentance, and if it is Your will, turn their intentions away from evil. But if they persist in wickedness, Lord, we trust You to thwart their plans and protect Your beloved from their hands. Your justice is perfect, and we surrender this situation entirely to You.
Lord, we pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit upon this one who cries out to You. If there are areas of sin or bondage, we ask that You would reveal them and grant the strength to walk in victory. Remind them that they are no longer a slave to sin but a child of the King, washed clean by the blood of Jesus. Renew their mind with Your truth, and let them walk in the freedom and authority You have given them.
We declare that this Halloween, and every day, they are hidden in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). No evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling. For You, Lord, have commanded Your angels concerning them, to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:10-11).
We thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and protection. May Your presence be their comfort, Your Word their guide, and Your peace their strength. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
