Father, Gifts of Healing, 1 Cor 13:9

Nochaeld

Beloved of All
The Holy Spirit reminded me of this prayer (originally for another), but to post and pray it for a prayer friend and now to anyone who needs healing in Jesus' Name, apply it to your situations now... God bless You as we receive "everything we need for life AND Godliness through His exceedingly great and precious promises," 2 Pet 1:3-5, by faith and patience which is how we inherit all that's been procured for us in Christ Jesus, John 1:16, Heb 6:12, as in Christ (where we have been placed by God already, 1 Cor 1:30, in Christ are all the promises of God already answered, so by His Name we say, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20, in Jesus' Name...

🙏 Jesus, You HEALED Your Preeminent Disciple's Mother-in Law, Lk 4:38-39 -- Then that Disciple modeled You, Acts 9:40-41, and many believed, Acts 9:42. It's written, faith works by love, my ### "now" by faith in Your work on the cross and Your loving mercy, faith works by LOVE, Gal 5:6. Actually, Father I want "gifts of healings" 1 Cor 13:9. Loose them for free -- right now -- like a kid would ask (gifts are not earned, but free, like salvation). You love us and give us gifts by The Holy Spirit since Jesus carried away our iniquities and healed our diseases, 1 Pet 5:17, by Your Stripes we are HEALED, Isa 53:5. You were bruised, beaten and crucified for our sins and infirmities; risen for our justification, Rom 4:25. Draw my ###, ###, ###, family & friends to Christ today to hear, listen to and understand what You are speaking to each one, Jn 16:13. The Good Shepherd Knows His Sheep, John 10:14, and lays down His life for them, 15. Grant faith, repentance, from sin, Acts 3:19, salvation, knowledge of the forgiveness of sins and newness of life, first preached by Christ and confirmed by His Apostles, see Heb 2:3. Feed Your Sheep, Isa 40:11, Ezek 34:16, John 21:17. Protect Them and Comfort Them with Your Rod and Your Staff, Ps 23:4, so They fear no evil or the shadow of death, Heb 2:14-15, since You partook of flesh and blood to destroy him who had the power of death that is the devil and liberated us from the life-long slavery to fear of it, through triumphing over it and publicly disarming and ending the coup attempt on the cross, Col 2:15. "I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades," Rev 1:18, tempted in every way yet without sin, Heb 4:15, Lk 11:4, came into the world to destroy the works of the devil, 1 Jn 3:8, keeping us from him, John 17:15, and keeping us in Your ways, Prov 4:18. We thank you for these requests -- for not only salvation, but graciously giving us all things -- gifts of healings, miracles, discerning of spirits, prophecy, tongues, words of wisdom, knowledge, administration -- the distribution of our inheritance as visually demonstrated in Acts 2 The Holy Spirit dividing the cloven tongues of fire upon the heads of the disciples -- from Your Fullness we all receive grace after grace, one blessing after another, John 1:16, every good and perfect gift coming down from above, James 1:17, interpretation 1 Cor 12:8-9, 10-11 -- Thank You for Healing My ### and salving and healing my family members and friends in Jesus' Name.

We stand in agreement with your faith-filled prayer, lifting up those in need of healing and salvation in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures declare, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). This truth is not just a promise, it is a finished work, secured for us through the cross and resurrection of our Lord.

We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, doubt, and delay that would seek to hinder the manifestation of God’s healing power. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, and cast out demons as signs of His authority and compassion. He commanded His disciples to do the same, and these signs follow those who believe (Mark 16:17-18). We declare that the gifts of healings are not earned but freely given by the Holy Spirit, just as salvation is a gift received by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).

For those who may not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them with cords of love. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone has not confessed Jesus as Lord, we urge them to repent, believe in His finished work, and receive the gift of eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). Salvation is the foundation upon which all other blessings, including healing, are built.

We also lift up families and friends, praying that they would hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and follow Him. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against every scheme of the devil, declaring that no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we thank You for the gifts of the Spirit, including healings, miracles, and prophecy, which You distribute as You will for the edification of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). We receive these gifts by faith, trusting in Your goodness and Your Word. We declare that by Your stripes, healing is ours. We speak life over every area of sickness, disease, and brokenness, believing that Your power is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20).

We pray for those who are weary or discouraged, reminding them that faith works by love (Galatians 5:6). Let them not grow faint but press on, knowing that their labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). May they walk in the fullness of what Christ has purchased for them, receiving grace upon grace (John 1:16).

In Jesus’ name, we command healing to manifest, souls to be saved, and every bondage to be broken. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ. Amen.

We are thankful you took the time to pray for so many people in such a specific, earnest way. It is clear you are not asking for yourself, but carrying a wide circle of names before the Lord. That kind of persistent love matters, and we are glad to stand with you in it.

What grounds us most in your prayer is the childlike simplicity you mentioned: asking God for gifts of healing as freely as a child would ask. That is not weakness. It is the posture Jesus welcomed. We do not earn healing, and we do not have to get the wording perfect. We simply keep asking with open hands.

One practical step that may help is to set apart a few minutes each day to pray for one or two of the people on your heart, letting the Lord direct which ones. You do not have to carry the whole list every time. And if any of these loved ones are dealing with physical or mental symptoms, please encourage them to see a doctor or counselor as well. Prayer and good care often work side by side.

Lord Jesus, we come with this friend and all the names they are carrying. We ask You to heal, save, protect, and comfort according to Your will. Loosen whatever gifts of healing You see fit to give, and give this praying friend patience and peace while waiting. Draw their family and friends to Yourself, and keep them safe in Your care. We trust them to You now, in Your name. Amen.

How full of comfort is the truth that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The power of Christ in the gospel is mainly a power to heal. You do well to bring your sick and beloved ones to Him, for He healed all that had need of healing while He sojourned here, and the costly balm of His atonement has lost none of its power.

Yet I would have you mark the order so often set before us: first forgiveness, then healing. When the palsied man was let down through the roof, our Lord did not first deal with the palsy. He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins be forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one in the great Physician's heart, but the root was taken away before the fruit.

You ask for gifts of healings. I suppose you mean that word in First Corinthians twelve, where the Spirit divides to every man severally as He will. Ask, certainly, with a child's importunity, but let the gift never be torn from the Giver. The Holy Spirit is not a power to be loosed by our command. He is a Person to be sought. Seek the Healer more than the healing, and the Savior more than the sign.

For your unsaved kindred, pray much. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Ask that they may so hear the gospel that it may be a savour of life unto life unto them. First salvation, then service. First the healing touch of Jesus, then the ministering hands of the cured.

And if the outward healing tarries, remember that His salvation will perfectly heal our bodies at the resurrection. Today the body is dead because of sin, though the spirit is life because of righteousness. The present groanings and aspirations of the Spirit in the believer are seals of the inheritance, not proofs of its absence.

Come just as you are, with the blind eye, the limping foot, the maimed hand. The power of the Lord is present to heal. May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you with healing in His wings, and may your whole household be found among the healed nations in the day of the Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord, asking for His mercy and healing in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation.

We give thanks with you for the great promises of God, that in Christ all His promises are yes and amen, and that by His stripes we are healed and by His resurrection we are justified. We ask with you for the Lord to show His compassion to you, to your family and to your friends, drawing each one to hear His voice, to receive faith and repentance, to know the forgiveness of sins and to walk in newness of life. We pray that the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep and who holds the keys of death and Hades will feed, protect and comfort you with His presence, delivering you from fear and keeping you in His ways.

We also encourage you to continue as you have begun, with faith and patience, for it is by faith and patience that we inherit what God has promised. The Scriptures teach that hearing alone is not sufficient for salvation, but we must also do what we hear, with careful attention and continual remembrance, with fortitude and with a heart set free from the cares of this world and the deceit of riches. If we search the Scriptures exactly and not carelessly, and come to them with reverence, God forms in us both right doctrine and a faithful life. Even when we feel dull in hearing, the Lord is gracious to stir us again to earnestness.

Remember also that the gifts of the Spirit, including gifts of healings, are given as the Spirit wills for the building up of the body and for the salvation of many. They are not earned, but they are distributed according to His wisdom. Our part is to turn to Him with a willing heart, to believe and to obey when we are called, and then to trust His help from above, for we can do no good thing without His aid, and yet He asks that we offer our own willing response so that He may give abundant opportunities of salvation and grace. In this way both His grace does the greater part, and our faith working through love is made real in daily obedience.

So we pray now for you and for those you have named before the Lord. May He grant healing according to His perfect will, strengthen faith, deepen love, and lead all who are near to you to hear and understand what the Spirit is saying. May He keep you from the works of the evil one, guard you in trial, and cause you to receive grace upon grace from His fullness, walking in wisdom, knowledge and holiness until He is glorified in all things. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who was bruised for our iniquities and raised for our justification, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Your prayer shows a sincere hunger for God to touch you and those you love with His healing mercy, and a desire to see His power bring others to faith in Jesus. That longing is good, and Scripture invites us to bring it honestly before the Lord.

The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit Himself distributes the gifts of the Spirit as He wills. They are His to give, and He is sovereign in how He divides them to each person. At the same time we are encouraged to earnestly desire the best gifts. It is right to ask God for healing and to seek His work, while also recognizing that the giving remains in His hands, not ours to command at will. The questions in Scripture make this clear, are all apostles, are all prophets, do all work miracles, do all have gifts of healings, do all speak with tongues, and the expected answer is no. Not every person receives the same gift, and a gift does not operate at all times in every situation.

This is why Scripture points us to something even more excellent than the gifts themselves, which is love. Love that is selfless and giving is shown to be greater than prophecy, than knowledge, than faith that could move mountains, than tongues. Gifts were given in part and for a purpose in that season, but love endures. What abides now is faith in the Word of God and in the promises of God, hope of eternal life with the Lord, and above all love. We have been given the complete Word of God, that which is perfect and fully reveals Christ to us, and it is this Word that we now live by and build our lives upon.

Any time God touches a body and brings healing, that is truly a gift of healing. It is not earned. Like every gift from God, including the Holy Spirit Himself and the salvation we have through faith in Jesus, it is received by faith, not by works. For by grace you are saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. The law is not of faith, but the promise comes through faith in Jesus Christ, who was bruised for our iniquities and by whose stripes we are healed, who was delivered for our offenses and raised again for our justification. He alone holds the keys of death and hades, He was tempted in every way yet without sin, He came to destroy the works of the devil, and as the Good Shepherd He knows His sheep and lays down His life for them.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is not blind. The person of faith actually sees more, because he sees the promises of God beyond what is visible. Yet even great men and women of faith had lapses. Scripture is honest about this so we will not be discouraged when our own faith feels weak. God has dealt to every person a measure of faith, and we are called to exercise what He has given, to put feet to our faith by walking in obedience and love, knowing that God looks at the faith that prompts our actions and accounts it for righteousness through Christ.

So we can pray with you in this way, with love as the motive and with confidence in God's character. We ask the Lord to draw you and your family and friends to hear His voice, to grant repentance and faith that leads to forgiveness of sins and newness of life in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We ask Him to feed and protect His sheep, to comfort with His rod and staff, to deliver from the fear of death which Christ has defeated through the cross and resurrection. And we ask, as you have desired, that if it is His gracious will, He would touch those who are sick among you and grant gifts of healing, according to His wisdom and mercy, that His name would be glorified and many would believe. We trust His answer, whether it comes through a miraculous touch or through daily grace, excellent help, and strength to endure, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes down from above and that from His fullness we receive grace upon grace.

May the Lord increase your faith in His promises, establish you in hope, and fill you with His love, which is the greatest of all, as you continue to seek Him and trust Him for all that you need for life and godliness in Christ.
