fasting request

Disciple of Prayer
Please help me to fast and pray to make myself a totally clear and devoted wife to make things delightful and easy on my husband in the lords name.

We join with you in this sacred commitment to fast and pray, seeking God’s strength to become the wife He has called you to be—a helper suited for your husband, a vessel of grace, and a reflection of Christ’s love in your marriage. Your desire to surrender this area of your life to the Lord is beautiful and pleases Him greatly, for He delights in a heart that seeks to honor Him in all things, especially within the covenant of marriage.

The Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 5:22-24, *"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything."* This is not a call to blind submission but a call to trust in God’s design, where love and respect flow in a way that mirrors Christ’s relationship with His Church. Likewise, in Colossians 3:18-19, we are told, *"Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them."* Your fasting and prayer are not just for your own transformation but also an intercession for your husband, that God would soften his heart, guide his steps, and help him lead with the love and wisdom of Christ.

Yet, we must also remember that our devotion is first to the Lord. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* As you fast, let your focus be on drawing nearer to Christ, allowing Him to shape your heart, mind, and actions. It is only through His strength that we can love unconditionally, serve joyfully, and endure patiently. Proverbs 31:10-12 describes the virtuous wife as one who brings her husband good and not harm all the days of her life—this is the fruit of a life rooted in Christ.

We also encourage you to examine your motives during this time of fasting. Are you seeking to change *for* your husband, or are you seeking to change *because* of your love for Christ? The latter will bring lasting transformation. In 1 Peter 3:1-2, we read, *"In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear."* Your devotion to the Lord and your husband can be a powerful testimony, not just in words, but in the quiet, consistent outworking of a life surrendered to God.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious sister before Your throne of grace, asking that You would strengthen her during this time of fasting and prayer. Lord, we pray that You would fill her with Your Holy Spirit, giving her the wisdom, patience, and love she needs to be a wife who honors You and blesses her husband. Remove any distractions, bitterness, or selfishness from her heart, and replace them with a deep, abiding love for You and a servant’s heart toward her husband.

Father, we ask that You would also work in her husband’s heart. Soften him where he needs to be softened, give him wisdom where he lacks understanding, and help him to lead with the love and humility of Christ. May their marriage be a reflection of Your covenant love—a love that is patient, kind, and enduring.

Lord, we pray that as she seeks You first, You would provide all that she needs. Let her fasting be a time of deep communion with You, where she hears Your voice clearly and is filled with Your peace. Give her the grace to persevere, even when it is difficult, and remind her that her labor in You is never in vain.

We rebuked any spirit of discouragement, distraction, or division that may seek to hinder this time of consecration. In the name of Jesus, we command those spirits to flee, for this sister is covered by the blood of Christ and is seeking to walk in obedience to His will.

Finally, Father, we thank You for the work You are going to do in her life and in her marriage. May she emerge from this time of fasting with a renewed mind, a steadfast heart, and a marriage that glorifies You. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

As you fast, we encourage you to meditate on Scripture daily. Let God’s Word be your guide and your comfort. Read passages like Proverbs 31, Ephesians 5, and 1 Corinthians 13 to remind yourself of the high calling you have as a wife. And remember, this is not about perfection but about progress—about daily surrendering to the Lord and allowing Him to work in and through you.

If there are specific areas in your marriage where you feel you are struggling, bring those before the Lord in prayer. Ask Him for wisdom and discernment. And if there is sin—whether in your life or your husband’s—pray for repentance and restoration. The Lord is faithful to heal and restore what is broken when we come to Him with humble hearts.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him with all your heart. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think, according to the power that works in you.

We're right there with you, sister, fasting and praying for the same things. It's beautiful to see your heart's desire to honor God in your marriage. As you seek to be a clear and devoted wife, let's remember that God is the one who equips us for every good work (Hebrews 13:20-21). Trust that as you surrender this area to Him, He will fill you with His love, wisdom, and strength.

Let's also keep in mind that our marriages are a reflection of Christ's love for the Church. So, let's strive to love our husbands as Christ loves us - patiently, kindly, and selflessly. Remember, it's not about perfection, but progress. Each day, let's surrender our hearts to God, allowing Him to work in and through us.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come before You today, asking for Your grace and strength for our ###. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, Lord. Give her the wisdom, patience, and love she needs to be a wife who honors You and blesses her husband. Remove any bitterness, selfishness, or distractions from her heart, and replace them with a deep, abiding love for You and a servant's heart towards her husband. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We have been lifting you up in prayer these past days as you’ve sought the Lord through fasting, asking Him to shape you into a wife who reflects His love, devotion, and joy in your marriage. What a beautiful desire—to surrender your heart so fully to the Lord that your husband is blessed by the overflow of Christ’s work in you. We know this kind of transformation doesn’t come from our own strength but from the Holy Spirit moving in us, and we’ve been praying that He would meet you in this time of seeking with fresh grace, wisdom, and a deeper dependence on Him.

If the Lord has already begun to answer—whether through a renewed sense of His presence, a softened heart, or tangible changes in your marriage—we would love to rejoice with you! Share your praise report so we can give Him glory together for what He is doing.

If this season of fasting and prayer still feels like a struggle, or if you sense the Lord leading you to press in further, don’t hesitate to post again. We are here to stand with you, to encourage you, and to keep bringing your heart before the Father. He is faithful, and He delights in a wife who seeks Him first.

May you continue to experience His nearness as you abide in Him, trusting that He is at work—both in you and in your marriage—for His glory. We are cheering you on, sister, and praying that the Lord fills you with His peace and joy as you walk this path with Him.

In Jesus’ name.
