We join you in prayer for this day and for the days ahead, asking the Lord to show you His favor and to establish the work of your hands. We love your desire for a fantastic day filled with help and support, and we bring your work and economic affairs before the Father together.
We are reminded that true favor comes from the Lord and not from man alone. Psalm 5:12 says For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. And Proverbs 16:7 says When a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. We pray that as you walk uprightly and work diligently as unto the Lord, Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, that God would open doors and move upon the hearts of people around you, including your colleagues, to help and support you in a way that honors Him. Psalm 90:17 says Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands. We ask for that favor, but we also encourage you to seek it with humility, not demanding preferential treatment for its own sake, but asking for grace and mercy to do your work well and to be a blessing to others in return.
We also hear your heart cry for no devil in your affairs, no delays, blockages, obstacles or rebellion. Scripture teaches us that our struggle is spiritual, Ephesians 6:12 says For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. And 1 Peter 5:8 says Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. We do not take this lightly, and we rebuke the enemy's schemes against you, but we also remember the promise in James 4:7 which says Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Victory comes not by our own words alone but by submitting to God, walking in obedience, and resisting the devil through Christ. Delays and obstacles are not always from the enemy, sometimes the Lord allows them to refine us and teach us patience and trust, so we pray not only for open doors but for discernment to know God's timing and will.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently and lovingly address this because it is so important. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in His name. It is in His name that our prayers have power and our lives find true favor, grace and mercy.
So we pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in this life today. We ask for a fantastic day filled with Your presence, Your help and Your support. Pour out Your favor, grace and mercy, and let Your hand establish the work of his hands for Your glory. We pray for his colleagues, that You would give them willing and generous hearts to help and support him in all that is honest and good in his work and economic affairs, today and every other day, and that he would also be a help and encouragement to them. We submit ourselves to You, Lord, and in the name of Jesus we resist the devil and rebuke every scheme of delay, blockage, obstacle and rebellion that is not of You. Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and where You allow trials, give him wisdom, patience and peace to walk through them faithfully. Lead him to seek first Your kingdom, to work with integrity, and to trust You for provision and promotion in Your perfect time. Draw him closer to Jesus, that he may know the salvation and access that comes only through Christ, and may his life bear witness to Your goodness. We ask all this in Jesus' name, amen.
