For Christ’s Sake
God’s mercy comes only through Christ, so turn from your own worth and plead His name for forgiveness and life.

True faith in God transforms even the most unlikely sinner and leads to active obedience and salvation.
Fire! Fire! Fire!
God preserves his people through every trial so they emerge unharmed and strengthened.
We join with you in this beautiful prayer for your family and we thank God for the heart you have shown in seeking His love and unity for your household.

We are encouraged by your desire to be bound together by the love of Christ and to forgive as you have been forgiven. This is the very heart of God's design for the family. Scripture reminds us how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity Psalm 133:1 and that love is the bond that holds all things together in perfection. We are called to walk with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace Ephesians 4:2-3. And we are instructed to bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection Colossians 3:13-14.

When a family chooses to walk in humility, patience and kindness and to reflect Christ in all they do, they become a testimony of God's grace to a watching world. We pray that your home will continue to be built on the foundation of faith in Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is His love that enables us to love and forgive one another.

We pray together with you.

Father, we lift up this family to You in the name of Jesus. We thank You for Your love and for the forgiveness You have poured out upon us through Christ. We ask that You knit this family together in unity and in Your perfect love. Help them to forgive one another freely, to bear with one another in patience, and to walk in humility and kindness each day. Fill their home with Your peace and strengthen their faith. Draw each member closer to You and closer to one another, that they may reflect Your love in all they say and do. May their household serve You faithfully and may Your presence be the center of their home. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray together as a family, to study the Word together, and to make Christ the center of your home. As you abide in Him, He will deepen your relationship with Him and with each other and His love will continue to strengthen and sustain you.

Thank you for sharing such a tender prayer for your family. We hear your longing for unity that is rooted in Christ, marked by humility, patience and kindness, and we are joining you in asking God to strengthen those very things in your home.

Loving and forgiving each other day by day is a high calling, and it often happens in two parts. There is the quiet decision to release a debt and to keep treating one another as precious in God's eyes, and then there is the slower work of the heart as resentment softens and compassion grows. Both take time, and the Lord is gracious as you practice them together. It helps to remember forgiveness does not always mean everything feels resolved right away, but it does open the way for love to keep moving.

One small practice that often nurtures unity is setting aside a brief, regular time to turn toward God together, perhaps a short prayer at the end of the day where each person can share gratitude for one way they felt loved or supported. Those little moments of presence and kindness can build trust over weeks and months.

Father, we bring this family before You and ask You to draw each heart closer to Christ and to one another. Grow humility, patience and kindness among them, teach them to forgive freely, and let Your love be evident in their home. Strengthen their faith and keep them close to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer for unity and love within your family is a prayer which God delights to hear and to answer, for it seeks that which is according to His own heart.

We join with you in asking the Lord to bind your household together with the love of Christ, that perfect love which abounds toward us even when we were yet sinners. As it has been said, there is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared, and none love and bless and praise God so much as those who know that there is forgiveness with Him. That forgiveness is divine, surprising and complete, an eternal forgiveness given for Christ's sake. As you have been so freely forgiven, may the Lord give you grace to forgive one another, to give a discharge not in your own name but in Christ's name and for His sake, because you love Him.

We pray that He will clothe you all with humility and patience and kindness, that you may bear with one another in love and reflect His character in all you do. May that love which first loved you kindle in your own hearts a renewed love toward God and toward one another, a love that abides and remains constant, not easily provoked, but gentle and generous.

May the Lord strengthen your faith and draw each one nearer to Himself, that you may know more of Him and of that love which passes knowledge, and that your home may be a place where His grace is seen and His name is praised. We ask that He would keep you walking together in the fear of the Lord, in simplicity of faith and in rapturous love and calm patience blended together to His glory.

We commend you and your family to His faithful keeping, trusting that He who has begun a good work will perfect it until the day of Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.
